But

20、 does it also follow that, in each person, one side of the brain dominates(控制) the other and therefore causes each persons behavior? After the many decades of research, many scientists have begun to think otherwise. Now that these scientists know more about the brain, many now believe that the popul

21、ar theories about “right-brain, left-brain” dominated behavior are most likely untrue. Until recently, the idea of left-brain dominated characteristics was still common belief among scientists. In contrast, a person whose left brain was dominant was seen to be a logical problem-solver, someone who used reason rather than emotions to solve problems, and who is good at using and learning language or mathematics. In the past, many scientists also thought that each of us displayed certain characteristics because one of our brain dominated the other. The idea started with scientific study of the 1800s. Scientists found that an injury to

But in todays scientific community, most experts now believe that the two sides of the brain do not work independently. Recent brain-scan technology has showed that the r
