4、 looks rather second-hand.I bought it at least 5 years ago now. It came from one of those big department stores and not a specialist leather shop. My old coat was very shabby and I was told by my girlfriend that I definitely needed to buy another one I think she was embarrassed to be seen with me.So

5、 I went out by myself. I think it must have been sometime in January when the New Year sales were on. My girlfriend wanted to come with me and help me choose something smart but I said I would do it by myself. We shop in very different ways. She always wants to try everything on and can spend hours

6、buying nothing. My approach is quite different. If I see something that I like and it fits I buy it. She might be two hours in a shop while I normally only take 15 minutes.Anyway I saw this jacket and I thought that it looked really cool. I had always secretly wanted a leather jacket and because the

7、 sales were on and it was reduced by 50% I just bought it. 11、 weeks ago, a review in the local paper about a recently-opened Indian curry house which apparently does really authentic Indian curry, so I can t wait to check it out sometime!And finally, if there s still time, with regards to why I would like to try this dish, well thinking about it, I would say

12、that one of the main reasons would be that I haven t actually tried it before, which I admit is a little surprising, seeing as most people my age have probably tried it at some stage or other. And as for other reasons, well I suppose I should also mention the fact that I m a huge fan of spicy stuff,

Anyway, as for what made me read it, well if my memory serves me correctly, I wasbrowsing around in my local bookshop one day, and the book s cover kind of just caught my eye when I saw the name

17、 DaVinci written in bold letters. So I read a few pages to see if it was any good, and ended up buying it.I should also mention the fact that I m quite a big fan of self-help books, because on the whole, I tend to learn quite a lot from them, and this book was definitely no exception. Just to give y

18、ou an example, I would say I ve learned to become much more observant after reading this book, such as generally paying more attention to everything around me. And in so doing, its made me appreciate things a lot more. Of course, there were a number of other things I learned, but nothing else is com

19、ing to mind right now, and that s really kind of why I want to read the book again, because I ve forgotten a lot of it. 22、n my way to see a friend who lives in Beijing, and she had told me that by far the best way to get around the city was using the subway, simply because the roads were so congested. So I took her advice, but it was a huge shock when I actually got into the subway station and saw just how many people

I mean, I knew that there would be a lot of people, but I never expected to see that many!Although looking back on it now, I suppose what made it worse was the fact that I was travelling during rush hour, so it was a lot more crowded than Im sure it would have been during off-peak times.

24、 And when I saw how packed the train was when it was pulling into the station, I remember thinking there was no way I was going to be able to get on. But I was in a bit of a hurry, coz I was actually already running late, so I had no choice really but to join the huge queue of people waiting. Anyway

25、, I did somehow manage to make it onto the train, but I was pressed up against people on all sides, so it was pretty uncomfortable to say the least! I mean, it was absolutely heaving, and I literally couldnt move at all!Thankfully though, I didnt have too far to travel, coz if I remember correctly,

26、I was only on the train for about 4 stops.
