This rise is projected to continue until around 2030, when the proportion of Japanese aged 65 and over is expected to reach 10%. Thereafter, within just
18、 a few years, the proportion is forecasted to rise dramatically to 25%, with a less dramatic rise to 27% in 2040. 19、l Water Use by Sector The graph shows how the amount of water used worldwide changed between 1900 and 2000. Throughout the century, the largest quantity of water was used for agricultural purposes, and this increased dramatically from about 500 km3 in 1900 to around 3000 km3 in the year 2000. Water
20、used in the industrial and domestic sectors also increased, but consumption was minimal until mid-century.
