3、sdowntoyourabilitytodoafewkeythingsreally,reallywell:CommunicateOrganiseSolveProblems/MakeDecisionsBuildGoodTeamsCommunicateEffectivelyCommunicationiscriticaltoprojectmanagementandaskillanysuccessfulprojectmanagerhasmastered.Itsimportanttonotethatcommunicationdoesntmeantalkingorevenpresenting.Commun
4、icationisabouttransferringknowledge,sharingideas,solvingproblemsandprovidingneworupdatedinformation.Yes,wespeak(andwrite)inordertocommunicate,buttomasterthisskillweneedtolookdeeper.APMshouldbeabletocommunicateeffectivelyinwrittenformwhetherwritinge-mailsorproducingprojectdocumentation,plans,specific
5、ations,reports,agendas,statusupdatesandsuch.Equallyimportantistheabilitytoverbaliseyourthoughtsandgetimportantpointsacrossclearly.Whetheryouraudienceisyourprojectteam,executivestaff,externalcustomers,etc.,youneedtobeabletocommunicateyourideasandensuretheyareunderstood,ratherthansimplyheard.Thebottom

8、ofinformation(rightinfo,rightpeople,righttime,remember?),changestotheproject(scope,schedule,features,plan,issues,etc.),andmuchmore.Ifyouarentabletomulti-taskinthismanner,toreallykeepthingsontrackinanorganisedmanner,youmightfindyourselfinastateofoverwhelm.Ifbeing/stayingorganisedisaproblemareaforyou,
9、trymakingcheckliststohelpyourememberwhereyouareatinagivenprojectcycle,whatsnextand,moreimportantly,whatisgoingon.Ifyouastheprojectmanagerarenotclearonthestateoftheprojectorwhatthenextstepsare,howsuccessfulcanyoube?SolveProblemsandMakeDecisionsAgoodprojectmanagershouldbeabletokeepthebigpictureinmind,
