1、GRE考试报名之GRE考试详细解读GRE考试报名之GRE考试具体解读 什么是GRE考试? Graduate Record Examinations，简称GRE，是由Educational Testing Service(ETS, 美国教化考试服务中心)供应的标准化考试。由于GRE成果是美国绝大多数高校探讨生院招生和奖学金发放过程中的重要参考，因此GRE在中国许多时候也被称为美国探讨生入学考试。GRE考试分为两类：GRE General Test(GRE一般考试)和GRE Subject Tests(GRE专业考试)。 GRE一般考试考查考生的语言推理、数量推理、批判性思维、和分析性写作的实力，

2、不考察专业学问，适合学习文科、理工科、商科和艺术等各种专业的考生参与。 GRE专业考试考查考生在专业领域的学习成果，考试一共包括六门：生物学/化学/英语文学/数学/物理学/心理学考生可以选择参与其中的一门或几门。 由于大多数美国院校的探讨生项目招生都不要求考生供应GRE专业考试成果，因此GRE考生一般只参与GRE一般考试。本文中除非特殊提及，否则此后“GRE”均指“GRE一般考试”。 GRE考试内容 GRE考试一共包括三个科目：Verbal Reasoning(语言推理)、Quantitative Reasoning(数量推理)、和Analytical Writing(分析性写作)。其中语言推

3、理部分和数量推理部分在中国通常被习惯性地称为“语文”和“数学”。 语言推理 GRE语言推理部分考察考生理解文字并从中推断信息的实力，详细实力点包括： 分析文字并从中推导出信息;依据不完整的文字推导信息;推断作者文字背后的假设和看法;理解文字包含字面意思和隐含义在内的多层意思 区分文字中的主要信息和次要信息;总结文字;理解篇章的结构 理解单词、句子、以及整篇文字的意思;理解文字中内容和内容之间的关系 语言推理部分的题型一共有三种：阅读理解(Reading Comprehension)、填空(Text Completion)、和句子等价(Sentence Equivalence)。 数量推理 GR

4、E数量推理部分考察考生理解和分析数字信息的实力、运用数学模型解题的实力、以及考生对于算术、代数、几何、和数据分析四个领域基本概念和技能的驾驭。 GRE数量推理部分题型包括：数量比较(Quantitative Comparison)、单项选择和多项选择(Multiple-choice)、和填写数字(Numeric Entry)。 GRE数量推理部分会为考生供应计算器。 分析性写作 GRE分析性写作部分考察考生如下实力： 将困难思想表达清晰 用合适的理由或例子支持自己的观点 评判观点和用于支持观点的证据 行文主题明确、前后连贯 行文符合书面英语规范 GRE分析性写作部分包含两道题目：Analyze

5、 an Issue(分析一个问题)和Analyze an Argument(分析一段论证)。这两道题目在中国一般被简称为Issue和Argument;此外也有人将这两道题目称为“立论文”和“驳论文”。 GRE考试形式与结构 在包括中国大陆在内的世界上绝大多数国家和地区，GRE采纳计算机考试的形式。在无法供应机考的地区，GRE采纳纸笔考试的形式。 每场GRE机考总时间大约为3小时45分钟，一共包括六个Sections(部分)，详细为 一个分析性写作部分，其中包括一道Analyze an Issue和一道Analyze an Argument，每道题目时间为30分钟 两个语言推理部分，每部分包括2

6、0道题目，每部分时间为30分钟 两个数量推理部分，每部分包括20道题目，每部分时间为35分钟 一个不计分的加试部分 其中不计分部分可能是语言推理或数量推理，题量与时间均与计分的语言推理和数量推理部分相同。正常状况下考生不会被告知详细那一部分不计分。考试中的第.分肯定为写作，且两道写作题目的依次肯定是第.为Analyze an Issue，其次题为Analyze an Argument。但是在接下来的五个部分中，语言推理、数量推理和不计分部分会随机分布。第三个部分结束以后会有10分钟的休息时间;其余每两部分之间有1分钟的休息时间。 GRE机考采纳基于Section的计算机自适应考试设计。计算机会
