6、ence of CST level in normal people and patients with essential hypertension of the two nationalities, and analyze the correlation between CST level and blood pressure, blood pressure variability (BPV), body mass index (BMI), HOMA index and blood lipid level. Methods:Forty-four Han EH patients and 46

7、 Kazak EH patients, aged 35-75 and hospitalized in department of cardiology in the First Hosipal Affiliated to Shihezi University School of Medicine, Peoples Hospital of Shawan County and Peoples Hospital of Manasi County from September to December in 2012, were included in this study. Meanwhile, 45

8、 Han and 45 Kazak normal people, aged 35-75 and hospitalized in department of internal medicine, were also included. General information of all the patients included was collected and blood pressure level, blood pressure variability (BPV), body mass index (BMI), HOMA index and blood lipid level were

9、 observed and recorded. The levels of plasma CST in the two nationalities were detected using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to analyze the correlation with above indexes. Results: 1.There was no statistically significant difference between male and female patients of both Han and Kazak n

10、ationalities (P0.05). 2.There was a significant difference in CST level between the two groups when the patients were in different blood pressure level (P0.05); there was also no statistical difference between the two nationalities when BMI was different (P0.05). 4.The CST level increased with the i

11、ncrease of HOMA index (P0.05). 5.The CST level decreased with the increase of TC, TG and LDL (P0.05). Conclusion: 1.Gender may be the influence factor of CST level both in Han and Kazak people. But our study is a preliminary study, due to less sample amount, Massive experimental study is needed. 2.T

12、he CST level is involved in the occurrence of EH, and CST level in Kazak EH group is higher than that in Han EH group, indicating that CST may be a reason of the higher EH rate in Kazak people than that in Han people. 3.The CST level is related with the BMI, HOMA index, TC, TG, LDL,HDL and BPV both

13、in Kazak people and Han people. Moreover, BPV has a positive correlation with CST, which provides an evidence for the further investigation and prevention of EH in Kazak and Han people in Xinjiang and may have guiding significance for the comprehensive treatment of EH.
