Greet the whole class as usual.2. Show Ss a ping-pong ball and a pair of ping-pong bats to raise the
4、students interest in the topic of this class -sports and health.3. Lead Ss to discuss the following questions:(1) Do you like playing ping-pong? (2) Do you often play sports?(3) Do you think sports are good for your health?4. Tell Ss that sports are good for our health because sports make us strong,
5、 energetic, slim and fit.Step Warming up (8 minutes)1. Show some pictures of different kinds of sports on the screenPicture 1: play basketball Picture 2: practice tai chi Picture 3: go jogging Picture4: play volleyball Picture 5: go swimming Picture 6: play badminton2. Ask Ss to look at each picture
6、 carefully and describe what they see. Then ask them to match the pictures with the phrases as soon as possible. After that, ask Ss to practice the phrases.3.
