Statistics show that China has a total amount of 2.8 trillion cubic meters of water resources, second only to Brazil, Russia and Canada, ranking the fourth (to be updated) in the world. But when divided by 1.3 billion, our
4、 average per-capita share of water resources only amounts to about one quarter of the worlds average. 2. We have always been heavily burdened with the problem of water shortage.
