Due to her disability, she used to move with horse-drawn carriages. From this experience, she learnt to love animals, especially horses. Within 7 yea

3、rs of tremendous effort, the only one book Anna Sewell had written, Black Beauty, was accomplished , which had been widely recognized. ContentBlack Beauty, born in a pleasant field, was a handsome black horse who was well looked after by his master and lived a happy life. When he was young, he was t

4、old by his mother that he should grow up to be a gentle and willing worker and never kick or bite. He never forgot this. His master liked him very much and the horseman was very warm-hearted. Beauty had two great friends. One was Merrylegs, the other was Ginger. Besides, he did quite a good job. Sev

5、eral times, he saved his master from the hand of Death. But soon his master suffered a great change that the master had to move to a faraway place. Then hard times began. He was sold from one family to another. Over the years Beauty had enjoyed good masters as well as mean ones. There was kind and b

6、rave Jerry but cold-blooded and cruel Jakes as well .Once, by chance, he met Ginger, who was in a critical condition and died soon. Fortunately, everything turned out right in the end. He ran across Joe again and was taken good care of.The main character of this novel is a horse called Black Beauty.

9、some, loyal ,brave and well-trained, and are touched by the cruel fact that the animal has received the unfair treatment .Black Beauty had been changed hands over and over again and was often laden with most exhausting labor, all for the interest of human. It just reminds me of the contemporary situ

10、ations of the animals.It seems a trend or fashion for people to keep pets, like cats and dogs. At the beginning, maybe out of freshness or curiosity, pets are attended well. Yet as the curiosity wears off, the owners are likely to abandon or even maltreat the pets, which may explain why there are a

11、large number of street dogs and cats. In the eyes of those pet owners who has done so, pets, for which they have no affection or emotion, are merely tools for fun, fashion or comfort, as is the case of Black Beauty. Nowadays we take great pride in the enormous achievements we have gained during the

12、past few decades, but isnt it ironical that there have been higher crime rates and more moral decline? 13、l to the public to be friendly to animals and to express her dissatisfaction about the way animals are treated. By a series of descriptions of horses hard life, the author shows us that how terriblly horses are treated. The form of the first person to some degree intensifies this point. Just as the

14、author mentioned, they dont cut off the ends of their childrens ears, do they? Why do they think its all right to do these things to their animals? These people never understood how painful their horses are when they did these cruel things. Animals are equal to humans. If people treat them friendly,

15、 they in turn show their friendliness to people. Sometimes they can help us out ,and even save our lives. 16、in 1878 . She hates people who are unkind to the animals, especially to the horses. So she wrote the book to persuade people to treat animals better. I think this book is not only suitable for children to read, but also for adults. The Black Beauty is an intuitive, gentle, hard working, and rare goo

During his life, he has met many masters.Some of them are really hard to him, but he has never complained about that.I think humans can not just pursue their own interests to use animals as life-like machines, and even abuse them. We should cherish animals, who have feelings and bring us ha

The horses are always loyal, hard-working and friendly, and expect to be free from whipping , hurting and sellin

19、g so that the horses endeavor to run faster and please their masters . However, some of the masters treat their horses cruelly and regard them simply as tools for money. I still remember the first part of the novel that the hunters rode their horses chasing a little hare, but unfortunately a rider d

20、ied and a horse broke one leg in the end. People often hurt themselves while ruin good horses. Anna Sewell urge us to protect animals. It is obvious that more and more kinds of animals are in danger now, and its high time that we took measures to save them. The story is quite profound. Black Beauty finally had a happy home.
