1、读书之法 ,在循序而渐进 ,熟读而精思状语从句知识点（7 月 27 日）状语从句在复合句中作状语，修饰动词、形容词或副词等。状语从句可以表示时间、条件、原因、地点、目的、结果、让步、方式、比较等意义。一时间状语从句：常用引导词：when, as, while, as soon as, before, after, since , till, until 1.当主句是一般将来时态或祈使句表示将来的意义时，时间状语从句用一般现在时。I will ring you up as soon as I get to Beijing. As long as I am alive, I will go on

2、studying. 2. when, while, as 引导的时间状语从句（1） when 既可以指时间点,与瞬间动词连用，也可以指时间段，与延续性动词连用（=while ）When he came in, his mother was cooking. People often remember what they were doing when they heard the news of important events in history. When (While) we were at school, we went to the library every day. （2） W

3、hile 表示时间段 ,因此， while 从句的谓语动词要用延续性动词。如：Please don t talk so loud while others are working.（3） As 与 when 用法相似，但着重强调主句动作与从句动作同时发生，有随着 或一边 一边 之意。如：As you get older, you get more knowledge. 随着年龄的增长，你获得的知识就越多。3.until/till引导的时间状语从句(1)主句的谓语动词是延续性动词时，主句用肯定形式， 表示这一动作或状态一直延续到until/till所表示的时间为止。I will wait for

4、 you until/till you come to see me. (2)主句的谓语动词是延续性动词时，用否定形式表示主句的动作指导until 所发生的时间才发生。构成句式not until,有时不用not,而用其他，如never,nothing 等表否定的词I didn t go to bed until I finished my homework. (3)since 引导的时间状语从句，表示“自以来” ，主句用一般现在时或现在完成时，从句用一般过去时，结构为：It has been+since 从句 /It is+since 从句。It is ten years since I be

(2) “祈使句 +and/or 引导的结果状语从句”中，祈使句在意义上相当于一个条件状语从句Use your head, and you will find a way. 三原因状语从句(1)原因状语从

6、句通常用because, since 和 as 引导。这三个词所表示的语气由because到 as逐渐减弱，由why 提出的问题用because回答。Because用于表示直接原因,回答 why 提出的问题，语气最强； As 用于说明原因 , 着重点在主句，常译成由于；since 表示显然的或已知的理由或事实，常译成既然。如：Water is very important because we can t live without it.He didn t come yesterday as his mother was ill.I ll do it for you since you are

7、 busy.Why do you like physics? Because it is interesting. Since we live near the sea, we enjoy nice weather. (2)如果状语从句所表示的原因是人们已经知道的事实，就要用since,而不用as 或 because. since在这里意为“既然” 。Since you can t answer the question, you can ask someone for help. 四目的状语从句(1) 引 导 目 的 状 语 从 句 的 词 组 有 ： so that, so, in ord

8、er that等 ， 从 句 谓 语 中 含 有may,might.can.could.will.would等情态动词。He must get up early so that he can do some exercise. Finish this so that you can start another. (2)当从句主语和主句主语一致时，可用so as to, in order to. He worked day and night in order that he could succeed. = He worked day and night in order to succeed

(2) So that 句型的否定形式用简单句tooto或 notenough to 代替He is so young that he cant go to schoo

It was such bad weather that I had to stay at home. He spoke so fast that I couldn t follow him.He is such a lovely boy

12、that we all like him. =He is so lovely a boy that we all like him. 六让步状语从句用从属连词though, although 引导。注意： though/although 与 but 在句中不能同时出现We had to go on walking though we were very tired Although I dont have much money, I live a happy life.
