1、精品资料欢迎下载过去进行时的讲与练一、含义：(1)过去进行时表示过去某一时刻或者某段时间正在进行或发生的动作，常和表过去的时间状语连用。(2) 过去进行时表示感情色彩与现在进行时相似，过去进行时也可表示满意、称赞、惊讶、厌恶等感情色彩， 也通常与always，forever 等副词连用。 e.g： They were always quarrelling. 他们老是吵架。二、过去进行时的构成和用法：肯定形式：主语+was/were+doing 否定形式：主语+was not (wasnt)/were not (werent)+doing 疑问形式： Was/Were+主语 +doing。常 与

2、 之 连 用 的 时 间 状 语 有 ， at that time/moment, (at) this time yesterday (last night/Sunday/week ), at+点钟 +yesterday (last night / Sunday)， when 和 while 引导的时间状语从句。三、 when/while 引导的时间状语从句由 when/while 引导的时间状语从句。常用句型：a. 主句（主语+ was/were + doing when + 一般过去时的句子） ；表示主句动作发生的过程中，另一个意想不到的动作发生了。We were talking when

3、 the teacher came in. =While we were talking, the teacher came in. b. 主句（主语+ was/were + doing while +主语+ was/were + doing ） ；主句与从句的动作都是延续性动词或同时发生的，两句都用过去进行时的时候，多用while 引导注意： when 和 while 的区别： 都意为 “ 当 时候 ” ，when 引导的句子谓语动词用短暂性动词或延续性动词都行；但 while 引导的句子谓语动词只能用延续性动词，不能用短暂性动词。when 和 while 还可作并列连词。 when 表示

7、一般过去时表示“ 在过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态” ，而过去进行时则表示“ 在过去某个特定时间正在进行的动作” 。如： Tom wrote a letter to his friend last night. 汤姆昨晚给他的朋友写了封信。（信写完了）Tom was writing a letter to his friend last night. 汤姆昨晚一直在给他的朋友写信。（信不一定写完，只是强调了动作的延续性）。过去进行时练习一、用动词的适当形式填空。1. it (rain) when you left school? 2.
