3、 year, 34 Nobel laureates joined young researchers for a week of science lectures, discussions, and special events, which included visits to local schools, international dinners, and traditional music. Each year, the Lindau meeting has a theme. This years theme is chemistry. “Chemistry is involved i

4、n almost everything, from the shoes we wear to the food we eat ，” said Jon Moerdyk, a student from Texas University, who attended the meetings. The young researchers who travelled to Lindau were happy to describe how they became interested in science. Laura Mazzaferro, who grew up in Argentina, is n

5、ow working in a lab in Freiburg, Germany. She says what inspired her were “the books m y mum gave me that explained the why of many things.
