Tony Higgins from UCAS said that the statistics are good news for everyone in higher education. “Students who take a well-planned year out are more likely to be satisfied with, and complete, their chosen course. 4、and responsible,” he said. But not everyone is happy. Owain James, the president of the National Union of Students (NUS), argued that the increase is evidence of student hardshipyoung people are being forced into earning money before finishing their education. “New students are now aware that they a

5、re likely to leave university up to 15,000 in debt. It is not surprising that more and more students are taking a gap year to earn money to support their study for the degree. 12、f it enjoying your loving family and friends around you.” Dr. Christine Grant, an occupational psychologist at Coventry University, said, “The effects of this always on culture are that your mind is never resting, and youre not giving your body time to recover, so youre always stressed. And the more

13、 tired and stressed we get, the more mistakes we make. Physical and mental health can suffer.” And as the number of connected smart phones is increasing, so is the amount of data. This is leading to a sort of decision paralysis (瘫痪) and is creating more stress in the workplace because people have to

45、t. Another “rule” of behavior I had discovered was that it is very important for the English not to take themselves too seriously, to be able to laugh at themselves. However, it is well known that most teenagers tend to take themselves a bit too seriously. The goths, in their scary black costumes, c
