2、l. when i asked two students to do it , but one failed in talking. i was surprised, because she is a not bad girl. i thought she could do it well, although she didnt raised her hand.troubles in talking. its not a serious problem. the most important is what can we do when they feel nervous.i also rea

3、lized that she was nervous because she joined the class just a week ago. what should i do? i smiled to her and said,dont be nervous, i believe you can do it well. just have a try. but she still kept in silence. i had to let her sit down, but i said to her with a smile on my face, listen carefully an

4、d later try it again, ok? she smiled ,too. after another two dialogues , she raised her hand confidently. did she do a good job? of course!since then, shes never nervous in class and seldom fails in talking. i think , as a student, shes successful. as a teacher, im successful , too.whats more,i ofte

5、n say to my students, in my class, dont be nervous. just try your best to express yourselves ,just to speakenglish loudly , right or false is not the most important, courage and confidence is the most important! believe youll do better andbetter! i think my words can help my students keep confident.

14、the english language.about a year and a half ago, i took part in my very first english speech contest. when i stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, i could hardly speak. i stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say. my fears had

15、paralyzed me.as it turned out, my dear old professor was right. now, here i am, once again standing before a microphone. my heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, i have faced my fears - and that makes all the difference! ? ap u.s. history class! c.h.a.n.ge 1998small-minde

16、d administrators and authority figures like to speak in clichs. all my life i heard the same trite line: you can tell a lot about a person by the friends they keep. the black sheep of the honors program, i hung out with the so-called losers. during my freshman year, not a day went by when a teacher

17、or family member did not deride my closest friends and warn me that by hanging out with bad seeds i would fall into a downward spiral, never graduate college, and have a miserable life. they thought that they had me figured out. one day, while my ninth grade math teacher, mr. pedersen, was reviewing

18、 some math concepts with me, my friend mariam ran by the classroom, stuck her head in the doorway, called out: hi yassee, and then ran away. mr. pedersen looked atsaurabh, anuj, nick, and i have had almost every class together since eighth grade. nitin and i both love to shop and eat. what is differ

19、ent about shopping with nitin, however, is that we argue about the necessity of a high sales tax or discuss the effectiveness of themuch more sincere and loyal. in retrospect, i wouldnt change my ninth grade experience, because i learned many of life s important lessons from my friends and the ignor

20、ance ofadolescents, in addition to my studies. i have been fortunate thus far in being able to reach out to them through programs like c.h.a.n.g.e. for my efforts, i have been recognized and was honored to receive the 1998 operation pride youth award for my dedication to helping other kids live a su

21、bstance free lifestyle. my familiarity with teenagers from all walks of life greatly enhances my ability to both identify with andinfluence others. i will be a successful adult in the future because i am willing to work with everyone and to give everyone a chance. hopefully, i will also have the cha

22、nce to change other kids lives for the better. call in the dream, we gradually grew up thinking of gradually mature, and have learned more and more, understand more and more. our dream is also more and more content, more and more rich.? one can not forget that book title mountain crossing the sea du
