Second, they overestimate the difficulties.It is possible to build up faith in oneself by having the right attitude towards ones abilities. We should never underestimate ones

8、ns. but can the stars reincarnate?many people burn incense and kowtow, do good deeds and strive for virtues, not just for the present, but mainly to let god see their sincerity so as to be reborn into a better afterlife, or to achieve the highest enlightenment after several lives of practice. they d

9、o believe in afterlife. but i cant help asking: suppose there were no afterlife, would you still do good deeds and strive for virtues? and if god does not see what you are doing, would you still be so upright and selfless? if you work, not for serving the public and liberating the others, but just f

10、or a better afterlife of your own, isnt it a little too selfish? comparing with this kind of believers, those who dont believe in afterlife, but still keep doing good deeds, are the most sincere and honest philanthropists, because they do them not for themselves but for other.you may wonder if i bel

11、ieve in afterlife. my answer is: i know nothing about my previous life, so i dare not make improper comments on afterlife. but i do hope theres afterlife! because our present life is so short that so many things slip away before our proper understanding. i have so many dreams, so many wishes, so man

22、员孙世友，此外担当评委的还有赵永梅，王平，顾慧萍等老师。王子鸣同学代表我院参与了本次竞赛。 首先由主持人致以慷慨激扬的开场白，并就竞赛规则及评分标准进行了简要说明。接下来，竞赛正式拉开帷幕，竞赛分为“演讲”和“即兴回答”两个环节。此次共有 19 个来自不同学院的同学参与了竞赛。我院王子鸣同学的演讲what we cant afford to lose is process，或慷慨激扬，或深情低沉，或情感真挚，将青春风采呈现得淋漓尽致。并且她凭借清楚流利的口语，声情并茂的演讲获得了评委老师的一样赞许。在“即兴问答”环节，王子鸣同学凭借较高的英语水平、较强的临场发挥实力和应变实力，从容回答所选问题

29、演讲竞赛复赛新闻稿20xx年5月12日晚19：30怀化学院外语系举办怀化学院高校生英文演讲竞赛（专业组）暨第十二届英文演讲竞赛复赛，此次竞赛的目的在于为学生营造良好的英语学习氛围，提升同学们的综合语言运用实力，呈现外语系学生的良好风貌。 竞赛分为主题演讲和即兴问答两个环节，复赛选手按年级分三组进行竞赛： 先进行定题演讲（限时3分钟），演讲结束后，评委提问一个问题，选手回答限时1分钟。定题演讲是参赛选手围绕赛前给定的主题，写好演讲稿进行演讲；评委用英语提问，可以是与选手演讲主题有关的问题、选手在演讲过程中涉及的问题，也可以是评委感爱好的问题，选手一律用英语进行回答。此次竞赛邀请到外语系优秀老师姜
