12、温顺做给他们的衣服。不仅如此，夏娃还时时常的回想起上帝对他们说的话：“我又要叫你和女人彼此为仇，你的后裔也要和女人的后裔彼此为仇，女人的后裔要伤你的头，你要伤女人的脚跟。”这里的你指的是“撒旦”。夏娃知道，这些话含示，他们会有孩子，并且他们的后裔会伤蛇的头，这就意味着，他们的子孙其中有一个会在冲突中赢得最终的成功，这样，她第一次看到了希望。第一个婴孩上帝对亚当和夏娃说：“要生养众多。”他不想让他们孤独，他要他们有一个大家庭，享受许很多多男孩和女孩的.爱和亲情。生男育女的实力其实是上帝为表达他亲自创建的手造之物的爱，所赐予最好的爱礼。他们第一个孩子-世间诞生的第一个孩子-名叫该隐。然而，这个世间第一个男人和女人生的第一个孩子，变成了世间第一个凶手。第一次争吵圣经中记载的其次个男孩名叫亚伯。他是该隐诞生后不久诞生的，所以他们俩是一起长大的。随着时间的推移，男孩子们长大成人，他们表现出不同的爱好。该隐喜爱耕田种地，圣经上说他是“大地的耕者”而亚伯，据说喜爱和动物在一起。他成了“羊群的看管者”-第一个牧羊人。孩子们也知道应当给上帝献祭，以表示对他的爱和敬重。“有一天，该隐把地里的出产做供物献给上帝;同时亚伯也将自己羊群头生的和羊的脂油献上;上帝看重亚伯和他的供物，只是看不中该隐和他的供物。”该隐心里充溢嫉妒，大大发怒，变了脸色，和弟弟大吵大闹，最终动手杀了弟弟亚伯。
