4、aning EnglishAs we all know, English is the most wildly used language and is a door to the world. With the development of the economic globalization, especially after china getting into the WTO, English can help our country to keep in step with the tide of the times. Today, the international communi
5、cation is becoming more and more frequent. Therefore, by English, we can know more and better about the diverse culture from foreign countries to widen our sight; we can learn the advanced technology and managerial technique to perfect our own economic system. Whats more, English can help our countr
6、y to communicate and cooperate with other countries to boost our enterprises international competitiveness. As one of the four civilized ancient countries of the world, China holds 5,000-year splendid civilization and history. And nowadays, according to survey, more and more western people are inter
7、ested in our Chinese culture. So, learning English well can help our people to communicate with foreign people who are Chinese culture lovers and can help to make our traditional Chinese culture known in the world.1.2The situation of nowadays college English learning In China, as the second language
8、, it is one of the obligatory courses each student has been learning form primary school to college. Our government attaches great importance to the study of English in that its importance. As a matter of fact, the advantage of learning English is far more than what has been mentioned. Lenin said,“L
9、anguage is the most important of human intercourse.” Our human use it for the expression of thought and feelings. English, the most widely used communicating tool, should be learned well by each Chinese student. So the aim of our survey is to know more about college students English learning situati
10、on and to help us find the problem so that the school, teachers and students can work together and does it better in the future. 2. Prepparations 2.1 The plan of the survey Investigators:Respondents: Survey method: Questionnaire Survey time:The time to deal with Statistics and complete time:The deta
11、iled survey plan as the follows: we plan to give out 200 copies of the questionnaire, everybody is responsible for investigate several students. The survey is done through questionnaires and interviews. We must make sure that the questionnaire is answered seriously and ensure the validity of the que
12、stionnaires.2.2The matters needing attention: A. While doing the investigation, each one should be patient and friendly and make sure the quality of each questionnaire.B. After we retrieve the questionnaire, the invalid questionnaires shall not be included in the statistical results, so that the res
13、ults are scientific and objective.2.3document preparations and the funding The document we need in this survey is the questionnaire designed for college students.
