Using videos in the classroom can facilitate the process of learning a foreign language. Student central may make students give the rein to their imaginat
5、ion. Students bring to any activity a spirit of wonder, great curiously and a spontaneous drive to explore, experiment, and manipulate in a playful and original fashion. Encourage students may make students find self-confident to study English, it is extremely important that as a teacher in a class,
6、 you can help to rekindle that spark, and so on. 8、e first one is Teaching English through videos. The second one is student central. The third one is encouraging student. They have different advantage themselves and they are fit for English Teaching in the modern world. :Teaching English through videos There are two types of video that can be used
9、in the classroom .The first is the instructional video, which has been created for use in classroom or in other educational settings and has additional advantages. It is likely to already have been evaluated for language, content, and length. The second type is the authentic video or videos produced
10、 for the entertainment of native English speakers, which include; films, documentary films, television programs and news broadcasts. Using videos in the classroom can facilitate the process of learning a foreign language. It helps the learners improve their language skills. By using videos for this
11、purpose the teacher can easily provide students with rich topics to talk about, different real-life situations, and a highstandard of language, as spoken by native speakers. However, when using videos in the language classroom, the teachers role is essential in making it possible for the students to
12、 make full use of the video to improve their language and communication skills. The teacher is also responsible for keeping the whole process under control so that the session will not turn into some kind of film club where the students only concentrate on watching the action rather than learning ne
13、w language structures. Using videos in language classes can benefit the learners and boost their language skills, especially listening and speaking (高师英语教学与研究,2005年第四期).Someone thinks that it is very difficult to study English. In fact, listening and speaking are the problem in English . If listenin

Students really enjoy watching movies and TV, because they can get exposure to natural language in a non-threatening setting. Videos direct students attention to the different learning styles because they combine two elements,
15、 which is visual and audio, some student can learn better when they can “see” and “listen” rather than read and write. It provides a context for learning and makes the verbal communication lovelier. When watching a film student seem to react to those situation and events as they do in real life. Vid
