3、. In section 1, it mainly deals with the dialogue about “Whats in the schoolbag?” and the answers. Teaching methodsAs we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill main

8、ly use “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, I will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arrange four kinds of activities: singing, guessing game, finishing a survey and

9、 having a competition. And in this lesson a recorder, CAI, school things and a printed form will be needed. Students should prepare some school things.VI. Teaching procedures and purposes of my designing. Ill finish this lesson in five steps.Step 1. Warm-up and preview1. Free talk between T and Ss a

10、bout things in the classroom.2. Sing the song together: Books and pencils.3. Do some TPR, for example: Show me your English book. Show me your crayon.4. Review the numbers by asking: “How many crayons do you have?” Purpose: It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by

11、singing and doing some total physical response and at the same time it provides situations to review learned knowledge for the next step.Step 2. PresentationNow Ill mainly talk about this step. 1. Present the pattern: “My schoolbag is heavy.” “Whats in it?.”(1) Show a bag and say: “Look! I have a ba

12、g.” Carry it and say: “Oh, it is heavy. My schoolbag is heavy.” Help the Ss understand the meaning with the help of my body language. Then lead the Ss to read the sentence. Make sure they can say it correctly.(2) T: My schoolbag is heavy. Open the bag and say: “Whats in it? Whats in my schoolbag?”Ta

13、ke out a Chinese book. Then do the action again. Let the Ss read the sentence.2. Play a guessing game. Divide the whole class into four groups to have a competition. Let them guess: Whats in the bag? How many? Purpose: To present the key structures one by one is much easier for the Ss to learn and g

14、rasp the meanings. Proper competition can arouse the Ss interest in English learning.3. With the help of the CAI to present the dialogue. Set a situation to help Ss understand: Two Ss are coming. One girl is carrying a heavy bag on her back. They are talking.Girl: My schoolbag is heavy.Boy: Whats in

32、习英语的兴趣, 使学生树立自信心, 养成良好的学习习惯和形成有效的学习策略, 发展自主学习的能力和合作精神 为他们的终身学习和发展打下基础。”故此, 小学阶段英语教学, 特别是低年级段英语教学的重点在于激发、培养和维持学生学习英语的兴趣。然而, 在小学生的英语学习中, 存在一个普遍的现象：随着语言学习的升级, 学生对语言学习的兴趣却逐步降低, 英语教学中“费时较多, 收效较低”的问题日见端倪。如何在低年级段英语教学中做到激趣、减负、增效?我们必须从低年级学生学习外语的认知规律和心理特征出发, 积极进行外语教学法的研究, 通过改进教学方法, 调动学生学习外语的积极性、主动性, 从而达到提高效率的

33、目的。故事教学适合小学低年级段学生的年龄特点, 对学生的英语学习作用颇大。一、低年级实施故事教学的优势小学阶段, 特别是低年级段, 学生处于形象思维的认知阶段。故事的形象性、情节性、趣味性符合学生思维发展的特点, 为他们提供了无比宽广的想象空间; 同时, 故事为学生的外语学习提供了生动的、丰富的积累语言经验的宝库。1.故事教学有利于激发兴趣。R.Gardner 和W.Lambert 的第二语言习得理论研究表明, 最成功的学习是那些既有天赋又有极大学习动力的人。对于学习者来说, 只有他感兴趣的东西, 才会使他产生学习的欲望和动力。小学生生性好动, 好奇心强, 对新鲜事物有浓厚的兴趣。故事拥有生动

34、的人物形象, 丰富的想象, 跌宕起伏的情节, 适合低年级学生的年龄特点。故此, 学生对故事有一种持续的需要。在一年级英语学习的起始阶段, 学生对故事如痴如醉: 课堂上, 学生喜欢在故事中理解单词的意思, 通过整个故事情节推测、理解生词, 同时又被激发着去理解蕴涵在故事中的更多的语言知识。课后, 学生听故事、模仿故事。以故事作为载体和手段, 学生在不知不觉中习得语言, 没有丝毫的压力。学生也自然而然地和英语成了“好朋友”。2.故事教学有利于培养语感。过去我们在教学中主要把精力放在词汇、语法的传授上。教师讲解, 学生大量做题, 以应付考试, 无暇顾及学生的听力训练。学生学了几年英语, 耳不能听、口

35、不能言、笔不能写, 即使勉强能说、写, 也是些书本语言, 脱离实际运用。采用故事教学, 学生必然接受大量的听、读输入( input), 经常感受英语的发音、音律和语言的整体结构。学生在故事教学中接受有关情节、情景的介绍, 从教师给出的语音信息中理解含义, 慢慢积累和吸收英语语言; 同时对教师提出的与情景有关的问题做出反应, 自觉不自觉地运用了语言。故事教学的语言重复性比较强, 整个过程, 学生对语言的认知加工是完全自然的、无意识的, 这使他们能够最大程度地接受语言输入, 并从自然的语言输入中抽象出语言规则, 获得语言。这样, 日积月累, 学生自然而然形成“语感”。3.故事教学有利于合作学习。当

36、今社会, 协作和交流在人际交往中必不可少。课程标准强调了学生合作学习的重要性。在故事表演环节, 单个学生与小组成员合作, 通过生动的角色扮演的方式展现自我, 同时树立与他人团结协作的意识, 培养人际交往能力。学生对故事表演非常感兴趣。他们在这个过程中领悟到: 这项活动需要每个成员的密切配合、积极参与, 任何不合作的举动都会导致表演失败。因此, 在活动中, 他们不仅积极参加语言实践, 还主动帮助较差的同学, 以使活动取得成功。故事教学促进了学生的合作学习, 增强了学生的团结协作能力。4.故事教学有利于文化渗透。新的课程标准明确提出, 在英语教学中要注意文化意识的渗透。故事教学中教师可以从中外著名

37、寓言、童话、科幻故事中大量取材, 再根据实际的教学需要和学生的知识水平进行改编。这些故事蕴涵着中西文化的精华, 也隐含着中西文化的对比。通过生动有趣的故事, 把文化中的抽象元素直观形象化, 以符合低年级学生的认知水平和年龄特点, 易于被学生接受。在教学中, 学生既感受到英美文化中理性的思维、奔放的风格、坦率的表达, 接受外来文化的洗礼, 产生新鲜感、趣味感, 又感受着中华文化浓厚的人情味、含蓄的表达, 接受本国文化的熏陶。故事教学有利于教师对学生进行文化渗透, 陶冶学生的情操。5.故事教学有利于学科融合。故事教学中的故事, 内容丰富, 融汇了各方面、各学科的知识。有些故事, 特别是寓言故事,

38、极具哲理思考和道德内涵。这类故事通过具体的、发人深省的事例, 教育学生待人以善, 诚实守信, 知足常乐等, 能收到很好的德育效果。很多故事还涉及社会、地理、历史、自然和科学等知识, 为学科之间的互补提供便利, 有助于各学科之间的渗透、融合。二、低年级实施故事教学的策略故事教学的实施, 应遵循科学的教学规律, 符合学生的认知习惯, 只有这样才能收到良好的效果, 才能促进学生的英语学习。具体来说要注意以下几点:1.在故事教学中尽量采用全英语教学。在讲故事的过程中, 老师给学生的引导、示范和输入，尽量采用全英语表达, 为学生提供尽可能多的语言输入。故事教学作为一种教学方法, 适应儿童的年龄特点和认知

39、规律, 为学生学习外语提供了便利。教师引导学生讲故事,学生可以用中文表达作为辅助。但作为老师, 则应发挥故事教学的优势, 营造简单、明了的全英语环境, 潜移默化养成学生用英语表达的习惯。2.故事不仅是导入新课的手段和工具。在小学英语教学, 特别是低年级英语教学中, 我们强调学生的兴趣。但是教学的主要和最终目的, 仍是通过故事的讲述、表演让学生习得语言。教学中宜以故事为主线, 穿插语言知识的学习, 使学生在轻松、有趣的氛围中 “不自觉”掌握语言。假如教师一味强调语言知识的学习,只把故事作为引入和呈现新的语言知识的手段和工具,久而久之,“故事”在学生心里就变了味, 失去原有的吸引力。3.不拘泥于原

40、有故事情节。课堂上, 如果老师讲的故事和学生熟知的故事一模一样, 缺乏新意, 学生会喜欢吗?如果老师改编了学生熟悉的故事, 却要求学生跟着老师的思路走, 不允许他们有新的创意, 学生会积极参与吗?怎样使故事教学抓住学生, 发挥更好的效果呢? 其实很简单, 充分发挥老师和学生的想象力。这样, 学生参与了故事的&ld4.结合其他教学方法。教学有法, 然而教无定法。每一种教学技能技巧在享有优势的同时, 也必然存在局限, 故事教学也不例外。在运用故事教英语的同时, 教师应注意吸取其他教学方法的长处, 弥补故事教学的不足, 以使学生学得更好。我们提倡在具体内容、具体时间、具体地点、具体学生、具体设备等具
