Happiness， wisdom， a strong body or something else。 If I had asked this question to president Nixon， he

17、would probably had said，”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair， but the chalice of opportunity。”Needless to say， one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2021 Olympic Games。 Till now， we have used two sevenths of the preparation time。 How much changes have you seen? New roads， new

18、subway lines， public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors， large blocks of grass fields， and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction。Other than those， there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly。 For exle， more and more people

19、 will get to know China。 Im sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly。 And the games will also do good to the economy and environment， for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened。 What is more， Olympic

20、Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit。 Now that we have seen so many advances， could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?Ive already said a lot about the Olympics and China。 But I think everyo

21、ne should use some time to think of this question， ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”For us， I mean the Chinese youth， 2021 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift。 Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us 。The society is just

Today I would like to talk about the importance of keeping optimistic。 When we encounter difficulties in life， we notice that some of us choose to bury their heads in the sand。 Unfortunately， however， this attitude

Thus， be optimistic， ladies and gentlemen， as it can give you confidence and help you see yourself through the hard times， just as Winston Churchill once said， “An optimist sees an opportunity in e

26、very calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity。”Ladies and Gentlemen， keeping optimistic， you will be able to realize， in spite of some hardship， theres always hope waiting for you， which will lead you to the ultimate success。 Historically as well as currently， there are too many op

27、timists of this kind to enumerate。 You see， Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not， the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world。 Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not， the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have e into being。 And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic

28、; if not， the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France。A rose may be beautiful， or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only， and so does success， so does life。 Hindrances and difficulties do exist， but if you are optimistic，

29、then they are only episodes on your long way to the throne of success; they are more bridges than obstacles! 30、independently instead of under your parents considerate protection when you get into college， which also means you will e across enormous questions that should be solved by yourself。 from my point of view， those main problems can fall into three parts。first of all， the plicated relationship。 for one

32、al to municate with your parents often by using mobile phones or other tools。secondly， the temptations。 the college serves us a more relaxed environment mixed with other temptations such as the inter， alcohols and so on。 whats more， the college teachers wont pel you to study like before， you doze of

33、f or play cell phone in class， and you flee up the morning class because you get up too late。 such too frequent behaviors will cripple your passion and enthusiasm towards life， so it is essential for us to resist these temptations and insist pursuing our own goals。thirdly， the balance between study
