3、ou better. Jamie took out a match and lit the candle. A soft circle of light lit up the darkness. “Come over here where I can see you,” Jamie said. “Please dont be afraid. Im not afraid. I told you that.” The creature slithered (滑行) into the light. It was about Jamies size. Its head and body were co

4、vered with dark green scales(鱗片). In the light of the candle, the scales shone like diamonds. The creatures eyes glowed red, suddenly, like hot coals. Its nostrils (鼻孔) flared, giving off heat. Jamie stared. He thought he had never seen anything so beautiful. Thats why hed decided to call the creatu

5、re Sharon. He wanted to give a beautiful name to his new pet. “Gee, Sharon,” he said, “I wish you could talk. I dont know if you understand me or not. And I, d really like you to tell me how you got here. The creature didnt answer. It just looked at Jamie. Its mouth opened slightly and something whi

6、te gleamed. Jamie thought it was smiling. “Well,” said Jamie, I hope youre hungry. I brought you a chicken sandwich.” The creature looked down at the sandwich, thinking about something else, but made no move to eat it. “Ill just leave the food here for you, Jamie sighed. “I wish I could stay. But I

7、have to go. Mom is on my case right now. Id help her. 14、ry glance（月亮向我投来一个迷茫、沉闷的目光），表面上写月亮迷茫、疲惫，实际上是在说主人公内心沉闷迷茫或是困乏疲惫，and buried herself again instantly in the deep drift of cloud.（然后立刻又把自己埋在了深深的云朵里）其实也反映了主人公内心世界的孤闭。 相反，注意2中用词：elegant whiteness（优雅的白色），cloudless sky（无云的天空），the surface of the river（湖面），an infinity of stars（无数星点），glittered（闪闪发光），这些词都十分宁谧、祥和
