Scope and application This procedure identifies the methods of establishing, monitoring and reviewing of environmental objectives, targets and improvement programmes according to ISO 14001 standards in ShenZhen Factory. 3. Introduction With reference to ISO

3、 14001 standards, Shenzhen Factory requires to establish and maintain documented environmental objectives, targets and improvement programmes, at each relevant function and level within her organization. Environmental objectives and targets are derived from, and in line with: a.Environmental policy

4、b.Significant environmental aspects / impacts c.Corporate Environmental Programme(s) (CEP) d.Technological options e.Financial, operational and business requirements f.Legislative and regulatory requirements g.Views of interested parties 4. Definitions and Abbreviations EMS Environmental Management

Responsibilities Fac

6、tory Manager -to endorse the environmental objectives and related targets Steering committee -to approve the environmental objectives, targets and relevant environmental improvement programmes MR -overall responsibility in establishing, maintaining and reviewing environmental objectives, targets and

7、 improvement programme(s) ISO 14001 working team -to propose the environmental objectives and targets according to this procedure and to check/track the progress of implementation of EMPs. EMS Officer -to prepare, renew and document the approved environmental objectives and targets annually Programm

8、e owner -to prepare the relevant environmental improvement programme(s) and ensure the items outline in the programme(s) are timely completed All employees -have the responsibility to offer their suggestions and provide adequate support to work towards the achievement of the objectives and targets 6

9、. Procedures 6.1 Formulation of Objectives and Targets The ISO 14001 working team shall propose the environmental objectives and targets annually according to the following procedure. The formulation of the objectives and targets are derived from but not limited to the followings include: a.Environm

10、ental Policy b.Environmental Aspects / Impacts c.Corporate Environmental Programme(s) (CEP) d.Technological options e.Financial, Operational and Business Requirements f.Legislative and Regulatory Requirements g.Views from Interested Parties 6.2 The “Environmental Objectives and Targets Summary ”QKW-

11、666-EMS0007 Form 2 is then prepared to summarize all EMP in each year. ESTABLISHING, MONITORING AND REVIEWING ENVIRONMENTAL OBJECTIVES, TARGETS AND IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMMES QKW-666-EMS0007/AA Page: 3of 4 Date: 99-10-06 6.3 The proposed Environmental Objectives and Targets Summary should be approved by

12、 steering committee or top management in management review. 6.4 Based on the defined and approved objectives and targets, the owner will be identified and the EMP will be prepared using QJV-EMS-0019 Form 1 “ Objective and Target Programme (EMP) ”and approved in tracking the achievement of each defin

13、ed objectives and targets. For better tracking purpose, basically, every EMP is used for one objective. It includes but not limited to the following items:- a.Objective addressed b.Owner c.Target(s) based on the objective addressed d.Environmental Performance Indicators (EPIs) to monitor the targets

14、 if any e.Specific action(s), By whom, Tentative completion date and Actual completion date. 6.5 In the meantime, the objectives and targets shall be communicated to all employees through proper media, e.g. Departmental Bulletin Board, E-mail, etc. 6.6 The ISO14001 working team shall check / track t

15、he action (s) outlined in the programme is/are timely completed . EMS officer shall check and review the progress of EMP every three months. Should any derivation from the execution of the action (s) happen, the programme owner shall make necessary amendments of the programme and inform EMS officer

16、and ISO14001 working team immediately for future reference. 6.7 Change of objectives and Targets It includes but not limits to the following conditions:- a.Product or process change b.Organizational Change c.Change of areas defined in 6.1 d.Management Review findings 6.8 EMS Officer will modify or a

17、mend the objectives and targets accordingly. The changed objectives and targets are then approved by steering committee and top management in operational meeting. If there is any impact in the action as defined in the EMP, the EMP will also be amended. Meanwhile, the “ Environmental Objectives and T

18、argets Summary ” is amended accordingly to reflect the change. 6.9 Management Representatives of EMS should be responsible for deployment and coordination, keep tracking the progress of EMP to the concerned programme owners and report the progress of those owner(s) in ISO 14001 working team meeting.
