3、alysis of the students, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching procedures and blackboard design.Part One Analysis of the teaching material 一、Status and Function This unit is mainly about telling past events using the past continuous tense. Let the students talk about what people were doing whe

4、n the relevant events happened. The content of this unit is closely related to students daily life, so it s easy to encourage them to communicate with others by using what they have learned in this class. 二、Teaching aims and demands 1. Step 2 Revision and Discussion Show some pictures and get Ss to revise the simple progressive tense by saying what he/she is doing. Lead Ss to describe the pictures using the past progressive te

11、nse bygiving the past time. Summarize the structure of past continuous tense and let Ss make sentences. Step 3 Presentation (1a-1b) Give pictures and guide to say the new word: rainstorm Watch a video and introduce the topic: What were people doing when the rainstorm came? Look at three pictures and

12、 ask Ss to answer the questions using past progressive tense. Make Ss do 1a and check the answers. Listen to 1b and circle the correct responses. Then, check their answers.
