The band soundblaster are now planning to record and launch a new CD. They want us to

2、 prepare a report on how they can improve on their success. The agenda include the following problems: define a clear target for Soundblaster, how to develop the bands brand how to develop the bands music and attract new fans, and how to increase sales of music and merchandising such as T-shirts, po

3、sters, etc. Based on the agenda, we will hold a brainstorming meeting to list some critical advice for the music group. Moreover, I also give the recommendation to the band to develop the success of recording and launching their new CD.FindingsFirst of all over the last few years, the band soundblas

4、ter created a wonderful sale of the album Hear to believe in 2003, this album has 5.1 million sales. The Hear to believe is so successful, and a lot of music fans were impressed by the music and appearance of the album.Secondly in 2007, the next album Talk to the world, unluckily, sold just 2.9 mill

5、ion copies and it was rated as a just 1-star album. The great disparity between the two albums did not make for a pleasant result for the Soundblaster,. More precisely, it made the fans and the band both feel upset, because they both had great expections before the album released.In fact, it always

6、going to be a tough challenge to equal the phenomenally successful Hear to believe. But after three years of waiting the fans would have expected something more original from Soundblasters third studio album. After this CD , Soundblaster issued Talk to the world ,but they sales not good and glides d

7、own year by year . Talk to the world will of course appealed to the bands core fans. It had the same funk guitar sounds and disco rhythms but by the end the fans felt they were still living in 2003 both in terms of music and appearance.The Hear to believe is the best seller in all the albums of the

8、Soundblaster. The first album Soundblaster I was released in 2001 with 3.5 million copies. The second album Hear to believe was released in 2003 with 5.1 million copies. The next album Soundblaster live was released in 2004 with 3.1 million copies. And the last album Talk to the world was released i

9、n 2007 with 2.9 million copies. Thus it can be seen that there is a downtrend of the album sales since the Hear to believe.About the merchandise, the survey showed that the sales of merchandise have seen deckine on last three tours. In addition, after getting to know the reasons why the bands fall b

10、ehind the modern music and the target we will reach. The last but not least, we should take efforts to make changes into the real to achieve the goal. RecommendationsBased on the findings, we hold the brainstorming meeting to give the band some good recommendations. According to the band are faced w

11、ith the problem at present,the band should be properly changed, after the road to a series of planning, let them have a better development. I suggest that the company could work hard on some aspect to improve the band.First of all, the band need to have a clear target, they should select one or two

12、main music types and the target listeners in order to meet their like.Secondly, increase sales of music and merchandising such as T-shirts, posters, etc. For one thing, give out free T-shirts to younger people to war at fashionable nightclubs. This action can gain the exposure rate of the band, let

13、he people dont forget the band, and re-gain the focus. For another, pay Hollywood film makers to let the band appear playing in a new movie. If the movie is outstanding and the band can present a brilliant show, the band can then come back the focus. Another action, on website advertising include a

14、link to a free download of one of the new songs. The people are easily to click the link because it is handy. If the people feel that the new songs sound great, they will talk about those and more people will know these songs and play close attention to the band. Thirdly, develop the bands brand. Fo

15、r this point, we came up with several good measures. For one thing, the band can modernize their logo, and make these letters Soundblaster more fashion. Because some superficial things are indeed important, these things can affect the fans first impression and also can reflect the bands features. To

16、 some extent, it is necessary to make the logo more fashionable. For another thing, use their songs on TV commercials or in a film. If a song can be applied in a successful movie, the song, of course, will get popular after that, the people will want to know the singers and they will be curious abou

17、t the band. It is also a good idea that uses their songs on TV commercials, the idea may be better than the last. The TV commercial always has a high broadcast frequency, so that the people will have a desire to know the band. The action must live up to an amazing result. There is another good way,

18、that launch a range of aftershave or perfume called Soundblaster and include this smell inside the CDs. This is really an original action, there is a proverb love me, love my dog, so the popularity of the band and the popularity of the aftershave or perfume can interact each other. However, what sho

19、uld be considered is that there is the risk that it may cause the opposite effect. Every coin has two fares, but I think the possibility of success is bigger.The last recommendation is that develop the bands music and attract new fans. About the idea, there are some actions. On the one hand, play di

20、fferent music to focus groups of people and find out what they prefer. The band can have a main type of music of their own, but they should also try some new kind of music, if they can do this, not only can they focus groups of people and find out what they prefer, but also can bring new feeling con

21、tinually. On the other hand, interview existing fans online to find out which are their favorite songs from the past and which they dont like any more. The interview can be made on the fans forum. They also can send the questionnaire by E-mail or in the chatrooms and so on. By the interview, the ban

22、d can get the crucial information which are the existing fans favorite songs from the past and which they dont like any more. Then the band should create more songs based on the type of the fans like in the new album, and release as soon so possible fewer songs that the fans dont like. The last but

23、not the least, find new venues such as smaller fashionable nightclubs for young people. It can accumulate the popularity in the groups of the young people. Finally, I have summarized their problems in all aspects that they should improve. And through my investigation, Ive given the usefull and pract

24、ical experience and advice. If they according to these methods to do and the company to strengthen the attention and propaganda. At the same time, the band members pay more efforts to make better music they may succeed soon. I have confidence in them, has a wealth of performance experience, excellent shape and lots of core fans ,they will remain successful and competitive.
