Given the increasing difficulties arising fromsuch a situation, this International Standar

33、d has beenbased on a single series of metallic flanges. ISO 7005will be published in four parts as follows:Part 1: Steel flangesPart 2: Cast iron flangesPart 3: Copper alloy and composite flangesPart 4: Aluminium and aluminium alloy flangesThis part of ISO 7005 is based on the American andEuropean c

34、opper alloy flange systems which have beencombined to produce one International Standard withsome changes to the dimensions specified in the twosystems.The flanges specified in this part of ISO 7005 areintended, in general, for use with copper or copper alloytubesandpipeworksystemcomponents.Integral

35、flanges are also intended for use with steel and castiron pipework system components.In the American system, flanges are designated by aClass rating but in this part of ISO 7005 the relevantClass ratings are designated by nominal pressure (PN)ratings.The equivalent designations are as follows:Class

36、150: ISO PN20Class 300: ISO PN50The ratings for ISO PN20 and ISO PN50 flanges arethose based on American standards, established foruse in copper alloy pipework systems. The ratings usedin the European system remain asISO PN6,ISO PN10,ISO PN16, ISO PN25 and ISO PN40.In this part of ISO 7005, 150 copp

37、er alloys, in wroughtand cast forms, have been specified where they arecomparable with the American and European materials.Inaddition,anAmericanspecificationhasbeenretained for a ferrous backing flange material and workis proceedingwithin ISO to prepare steel materialspecifications suitable for flan

38、ge applications.Flange details in all four parts of ISO 7005 are suchthat flanges having the same PN and nominal size (DN)valuesandcompatibleflangefacingswillmatetogether.UsersofthispartofISO7005shouldsatisfythemselves that the flanges comply with any statutoryrequirements.1Scope and field of applic

39、ationThis part of ISO 7005 for a single system of flangesspecifies requirements for circular copper alloy andcomposite flanges in the following nominal pressureratings:Series 1*Series 2*lSO PN10 lSO PN6ISO PN16ISO PN25ISO PN20ISO PN40ISO PN50Attentionisdrawntotheneedtorefertothepressure/temperature(

43、all components in a pipingsystem other than components designated by outsidediameters or by thread size. It is a convenient roundnumber for reference purposes and is only loosely relatedto manufacturing dimensions.NOTES1Nominal size is designated by ”DN” followed by theappropriate number.2This defin

44、itionis in accordance with that given in ISO 6708.2.1.2nominal pressure (PN): A numerical designationwhich is a convenient rounded number for referencepurposes.All equipment of the same nominal size (DN) designatedby the same PN number shall have compatible matingdimensions.NOTES:1The maximum allowa
