6、 6页and my story as an air traffic controller with all of you. i, as a 35-year-old air traffic controller, have been working onthe tower for nearly ten years. through these years working, i reallycome to love this job. besides, as the husband of my beloved, thefather of my 8-year-old daughter, and th

7、e son of my old parents, ialso love my family, a happy family. however, it has been really hard to coordinate my work and myfamily. its generally considered great to be an air traffic controller bythe public, for the job is believed to be well-paid and quite easy. iwas also one of them before i star

8、ted the work. but things have beenentirely different from what i used to think. as an air trafficcontroller of the new century, were facing tasks and barriers greaterand harder than ever, that is, we have to ensure the safety and orderof the fast-developing civil aviation. were burdened with pressur

9、e,responsibilities, the trust of hundreds of pilots, the lives of tensof thousands of passengers, and the hopes of millions of families.every step we take, every word we say is connected to the safety ofpassengers. and disasters may occur if were even a little bitcareless. then, how can that be easy

10、? as a man who owns a family, i also have to take care of myfamily. still, it isnt that easy. since i took the job 10 years ago,i havent had enough time to be with my family. so many festivals havei spend with microphones, but not my family and friends, just becausemy job needs me. so many times hav

11、e my wife complained about myreturning home late and having meals outside often, just because myjob needs me. and so many times, my mom or dad is sick in bed, but icannot be there with them in time, just because my job needs me. i第 2页 共 6页cannot fully devote myself to my family because my job needs

12、me, alot of people need me. and again, as a man with a family, how canthat be easy? even though im not competent as a father, a husband, and a son, istill love my family. my daughter once said that it was her happiesttime to see me back from work. and its the same with me. im pleasedand grateful to

13、see that my family can support and understand my workand my little devotion to them. i have made many sacrifices as an air traffic controller. ireally feel sorry for my family. but as i help pilots find theirdestinations under terrible weather conditions, and then hear thanksfrom them, im satisfied.

14、 and as i see planes taking off and landingsafely, and make sure that hundreds more families can get together,im comforted. i even seem to be able to see the happy smiles on theirfaces. such is my job, though i cannot enjoy much of the happiness myfamily brings to me, i can e 某 perience the sense of

15、 responsibilitythrough my work. ill never regret this, regret choosing my job. it isthrough these years that i know what responsibility and devotionreally mean. and it is through these years that i realize what familyreally means to me-supporting and understanding. i reallyappreciate them. with my f
