3、edfirstclassprizeeverysemesterandmyoverallgpa(89.5/100)rankedno.1among113students.in1999igottheprivilegetoenterthegraduateprogramwaivedoftheadmissiontest.iselectedtheshanghaijiaotonguniversitytocontinuemystudyforitsbestreputationoncombinatorialoptimizationandnetworkschedulingwheremyresearchinterestl

4、ies.attheperiodofmygraduatestudymyoverallgpa(3.77/4.0)rankedtop5%inthedepartment.inthesecondsemesteribecameteacherassistantthatisgiventotalentedandmaturedstudentsonly.thisyeariwontheacerscholarshipastheoneandonlycandidateinmydepartmentwhichistheultimateaccoladefordistinguishedstudentsendowedbymyuniv

5、ersity.presentlyiampreparingmygraduationthesisandtryingforthehonorofexcellentgraduationthesis.researchexperienceandacademicactivitywhenasophomoreijoinedtheassociationofaienthusiastandbegantonarrowdownmyinterestformyfutureresearch.in1997iparticipatedinsimulationtooldevelopmentfortheschedulingsystemin

6、prof.wangslab.withthetoolofopenglandmatlabidesignedasimulationprogramfortransportationschedulingsystem.itisnowwidelyusedbydifferentresearchgroupsinnust.in1998iassumedandfulfilledasewageanalysisdisposeprojectfornanjingsewagetreatmentplant.thiswasmyfirstpracticetoconvertalaboratoryideatoacommercialpro

7、duct.in1999ijoinedthedistinguishedprofessoryu-gengxisresearchgroupaimingatnetworkflowproblemsolvingandheuristicalgorithmresearch.sooniwasengagedinthefudangenedatabasedesign.mydutywastopickuptheusefulinformationamongdifferentkindsofgenematchingformat.throughthecomparisonandanalysisformanyheuristicalg

8、orithmsiintroducedanimprovedevolutionaryalgorithm-multi-populationgeneticalgorithm.bydividingawholepopulationintoseveralsub-populationsthisimprovedalgorithmcaneffectivelypreventgafromlocalconvergenceandpromotevariousevolutionaryorientations.itprovedmoreefficientlythansgainexperimentstoo.intheseconds

9、emesterijoinedtheworkshop-schedulingresearchinshanghaiheavydutytyreplant.theschedulingwasdesignedfortherubber-makingprocessthatcoverednotonlydiscretebutalsocontinuouscircumstances.tomakeabalancepointbetweenoptimizationqualityandtimecostiproposedadynamiclayeredschedulingmethodbasedonhybridpetrinets.t

10、hepracticalapplicationshowedthattheaveragemakespanwasshortenedbyalargescale.ialsopublicizedtwopapersincorejournalswiththisidea.recentlyiamdoingresearchinthecompositepredictoftheelectricalpowersystemassistedwiththetechnologyofdataminingforbaosteel.itrytocombinethedecisiontreewithrecedingoptimizationt

11、oprovideanewsolutionforthecompositepredictiveproblem.thisprojectisnowunderconstruction.besidesinjuly2000igottheopportunitytogivealectureinenglishinasiacontrolconference(ascc)whichisoneofthetop-levelconferencesamongtheworldintheareaofcontrolandautomation.inmysenioryearimetprof.xiao-songlinavisitingpr

12、ofessorofmathematicsfromuniversityofcalifornia-riversideilearnedgraphtheoryfromhimformynetworkresearch.theseexperiencesallrapidlyexpandedmyknowledgeofenglishandtheunderstandingofwesternculture.ihopetostudyindepthinretrospectifindmyselfstandingonasolidbasisinboththeoryandexperiencewhichhaspreparedmefortheph.d.program.myfutureresearchinterestsinclude：networkschedulingproblemheuristicalgorithmresearch(especiallyingaandneuralnetwork)supplychainnetworkresearchhybridsystemperformanceanalysiswithpetrinetsanddatamining.
