21、ingsewagetreatmentplant.Thiswasmyfirstpracticetoconvertalaboratoryideatoacommercialproduct.In1999,IjoinedthedistinguishedProfessorYu-GengXisresearchgroupaimingatNetworkflowproblemsolvingandHeuristicalgorithmresearch.SoonIwasengagedintheFuDanGeneDatabaseDesign.Mydutywastopickuptheusefulinformationamo

22、ngdifferentkindsofgenematchingformat.Throughthecomparisonandanalysisformanyheuristicalgorithms,Iintroducedanimprovedevolutionaryalgorithm-Multi-populationGeneticAlgorithm.Bydividingawholepopulationintoseveralsub-populations,thisimprovedalgorithmcaneffectivelypreventGAfromlocalconvergenceandpromoteva

23、riousevolutionaryorientations.ItprovedmoreefficientlythanSGAinexperiments,too.Inthesecondsemester,Ijoinedtheworkshop-schedulingresearchinShanghaiHeavyDutyTyreplant.Theschedulingwasdesignedfortherubber-makingprocessthatcoverednotonlydiscretebutalsocontinuouscircumstances.Tomakeabalancepointbetweenopt

24、imizationqualityandtimecost,IproposedaDynamicLayeredSchedulingmethodbasedonhybridPetriNets.Thepracticalapplicationshowedthattheaveragemakespanwasshortenedbyalargescale.Ialsopublicizedtwopapersincorejournalswiththisidea.Recently,IamdoingresearchintheCompositePredictoftheElectricalPowersystemassistedw

25、iththetechnologyofDataMiningforBaoSteel.ItrytocombinetheDecisionTreewithRecedingOptimizationtoprovideanewsolutionfortheCompositePredictiveProblem.Thisprojectisnowunderconstruction.Besides,InJuly2000,IgottheopportunitytogivealectureinEnglishinAsiaControlConference(ASCC)whichisoneofthetop-levelconfere

26、ncesamongtheworldintheareaofcontrolandautomation.Inmysenioryear,ImetProf.Xiao-SongLin,avisitingprofessorofmathematicsfromUniversityofCalifornia-Riverside,Ilearnedgraphtheoryfromhimformynetworkresearch.TheseexperiencesallrapidlyexpandedmyknowledgeofEnglishandtheunderstandingofwesternculture.Ihopetost

27、udyindepth.Inretrospect,Ifindmyselfstandingonasolidbasisinboththeoryandexperience,whichhaspreparedmeforthePh.D.program.Myfutureresearchinterestsinclude:NetworkSchedulingProblem,HeuristicAlgorithmresearch(especiallyinGAandNeuralnetwork),Supplychainnetworkresearch,HybridsystemperformanceanalysiswithPetrinetsandDataMining.Pleasegivemyapplicationmaterialsaseriousconsideration.Thankyouverymuch.
