2、and development of all the wisdom of the history. The great role of knowledge have shown ever since man appeared on the earth and every period of social development. Nowadays it is a popular view that the prosperity of the country rely on the peoples cultural knowledge level of the country. I think

3、this view is reasonable. There are many examples in the history. The government of the Qing Dynasty implemented the seclusion policy, which had brought about serious consequences. Incomparison, the Tang Dynasty had adopted enlightened policies at that time, while culture and science was widespread i

4、n the country. As a result, the Tang Dynasty become the most powerful country in the world and the Qing government fell down quickly. The prosperity of a country cant be separate from the knowledge.With the development of our economy, the importance of knowledge is more and more obvious ,especially

5、scientific and technological knowledge. Science and technology are the motive power of the social development. For example, in ancient times thunder and the other natural phenomena have been regarded as acts of god. If there happened to be a drought in the area, what the ancient people can do is pra

6、ying for gods help. However, now we have the scientific knowledge. With the artificial rainfall approach, crops can be grown still good even in case of severe drought. Man can conquer nature with the knowledge. For thousands of years, human beings have been using their knowledge to improve their lif

7、e and change the world around them. Farmers use knowledge to grow more crops, workers use knowledge to make better devices, and scientists use knowledge on various inventions. Knowledge is the most powerful tool for people to reshape personal destiny and to achieve more success. In todays knowledge

8、economy, the effectiveness of knowledge application and creativity determines the personal development. Who owns the knowledge and talent is equal to grasp their own destiny. On the contrary, who lack of knowledge can only be nothing.As the ancient philosopher Chuang-Tzu of China said:”My life is limited while knowledge is limitless.” As college students, we should try our best to learn as much scientific knowledge as possible, for knowledge is very power for us to change our destiny and to create a better world in the future.
