1、unit 6知识梳理make 的用法：当make的意思是“使;使得”时，(1) make+sb./ sth. +adj.意为“使某人/某物处于某种状态The news made him happy.这个消息使他很高兴。在此句型中，通常用it作形式宾语，而动词不定式或从句才是真正的宾语，而且要后置。make it +adj. +to do sth. Computers make it easier to learn English. 电脑使英语学习更加容易。(2) make+sb./ sth. + do sth,意为“使某人或某物做某事” Our English teacher often ma

2、kes us retell the texts. 我们的英语老师经常让我们复述课文。(3)当把这样的句子变为被动语态时，be made to do sth. We are often made to retell the texts(by our English teacher).我们经常被英语老师要求复述课文。 (4) make+sb. + done sth,意为“使某人被.” Can you make yourself understood in English ?你能用英语把自己的意思表达清楚吗？知识梳理1. would rather 意为“宁愿;宁可”，通常与主语缩写为drather.

3、表示句子主语的愿望与选择，后接动词原形，没有人称和数的变化。 归纳 常见搭配如下:考点词义例句would rather(not) do sth意为“宁愿不做某事”He would rather join your English group.他宁愿加入你们的英语小组。He would rather not see her again.他宁可不再见到她would rather do A than do B= would do A rather than do B=prefer to do A rather than do B意为“宁愿做A而不愿做B”I'd rather stay at

4、home than going shopping on Sunday .星期天我宁愿待在家里而不愿去购物。2. drive为及物动词，意为“逼迫;迫使”drive sb. crazy/mad意为“使某人发疯/发狂”，相当于make sb. crazy/mad, drive sb. to do sth. 迫使某人做某事另外drive还可译为“驾驶;开车”例句：Doing the mindless(没头脑的)work all day is going to drive me crazy. 一整天做这些没头脑的工作使得我发狂。3. be sure 确信；确定（1） be sure of / abou

5、t. 对.有把握（2） be sure to do sth. 一定做某事（3） be sure +从句 肯定；对.有把握 Im sure that he will win 我确信他会赢。4. （1）the +比较级. the +比较级.,意为越.就越.the+比较级.,the+比较级.越就会越The more we do for the people, the happier we'll be.我们为人民做得越多，就越幸福。比较级+and+比较级或more and more +形容词或副词越来越The weather is getting warmer and warmer.天气越来越

6、暖和。（2） have.in common 有.共同点 have one thing in common 有一个共同点 have nothing in common 没有共同点5. 辨析：lately、latest、later、latelately副词不久前，用于现完latest形容词/名词最新的；最新事物later副词过后；稍后late形容词/副词晚的；迟地6. take ones position 代替某人的位置= take ones place = take the position /place of sb.7. to start with /start with (1)to star

7、t with 意为“起初;开始时”，相当于副词，通常用于句首。To start with ,where and when did it happen ?首先，这件事发生在何时何地？(2)start with 意为“从.开始;先从某事做起”，与begin with 同义。反义词组是end up with .,意为“以.结束”He wants to start /begin with the smallest country and end up with the largest one .他想从最小的国家开始，以最大的国家结束。8. search动词，意为“搜查;搜索; 查找”search +

8、地点，意为“搜查某处” search for 意为“寻找” The policeman searched every room in the house but he found nothing.警察搜查了屋子的每一个房间，但是什么也没有发现。9. even though虽然; 尽管; 即使;用来引导让步状语从句，相当于even if，在同一句中不能和but连用。 He is still strong even though he is 90 years old. 虽然他90岁了，但他仍然很强壮。10. The general finds a happy person with power,

9、money and fame. with “带着, 与 一起， 随着，有”(表示伴随) 反义词： without “没有” with/ without + 名词/ 动名词He left without _(say) a word. 他一句话都没有说就走了。11. How could he have missed scoring that goal?could have done “过去本能够做某事但未做”，含责备意义。 (1) How could he have been such a fool? 他怎么这么糊涂？ (2) How could she _ (forget) what kind

10、of man he was? 她怎么能忘记他是哪种人呢？12. kick sb. off 开除某人Tim made a huge mistake, and the manager kicked him off the company.蒂姆犯了一个很大的错误，经理把他开除出了公司。13. Ten minutes later, Peter heard his father knocking on his bedroom door. knocking做hear 的宾补。相同用法的词：see/ watch/ find/ hear/ notice sb. doing sth. (1)When Lisa

11、was alone at home, she heard something _(make) noise outside.当丽莎独自在家时，她听到外面有响声。(2)I found my sister_(look) through my things yesterday. 昨天我发现我的姐姐翻看我的东西。14. be hard on sb. 对某人苛刻;过于严格地要求某人; Today some parents are too hard on their children. 如今一些父母对孩子要求过于严厉。15. 12、e game.besides “除以外还有”，表示包括后面提到的人或物在内except “除去”， 表示不包括后面所提到的人或物在内(1)All the students went to the park_ Jim. (Jim没去) (2) Lucy went to the cinema _ Lily. (Lily 也去了)16. rather than 表示客观事实，意为“并非;而不是”。连接的并列成分可以是名词、代词、形容词、介词(短语)、动名词、分句、不定式、动词等。The sweater she bought was beautiful rather than cheap. 与其说她买

13、的这件羊毛衫便宜不如说它漂亮。(1) rather than 连接两个名词或代词作主语时，谓语动词应与rather than 前面的名词或代词在人称和数上保持一致。You rather than I _ (be)going to go camping. 是你而不是我要去野营。rather than 后接不定式时，不定式可以带to，也可以不带to。但rather than位于句首时， 则只能接不带to 的不定式。Rather than allow the vegetables to go bad, he sold them at half price. 他惟恐蔬菜烂掉，把它们以半价卖掉了。17. pull together 齐心协力;通力合作If all of us pull together, there must be something we can do to improve the environment. 如果我们都能齐心协力，我们一定能做点什么来改善环境。
