But since writing the book, he has returned to Jamaica and worked with deaf Jamaicans.Growing up, Antrobus recalls, he wasnt taught much about deaf culture or the richness of sign language
21、on top of his late diagnosis so learning about deaf life in Jamaica helped ease some of his fears.“It was never really a thing where I sat down and thought, oh, Im a deaf poet. Im going to write about how I experience sound,” he says. “Poetry was a way for me to just write what my truth was. I think
