1、Unit 3 词语和句型用法归纳 讲义词语精讲1. ride v. & n. 骑;旅程ride作动词时，表示“骑;乘”，后常接交通工具，现在分词形式为riding。如：Riding a bike is a great exercise. 骑自行车是一项很好的运动。I don't ride my motorbike much anymore.  我不怎么骑我的摩托车了。拓展： ride作名詞时，表示旅程。常用搭配有take sb. for a ride带某人兜风。如：Jenny took her parents for a ride in the family car.

2、 珍妮开着家用轿车带着她的父母出去兜了一圈。辨析： ride & driveride和drive用作动词时都有“骑;乘”的含义，drive通常指“驾驶”车、船、飞机等，而ride常指“骑”马，自行车等。2. hundred num. 一百hundred用作数词，意为“百;一百”，其前可加a， one， two， three等表示数量意义的数词修饰，用单数形式。如：There are over five hundred in our school. 我们学校有500多名学生。A fool may throw a stone in to a well which a hundred wis

4、j. 每一;每个every一般修饰单数名词，作主语时与动词单数形式连用。every通常与数词连用，表示“每隔的”如：I go there every day. 我每天去那里。Every man is not perfect. 每个人都不是完美的。拓展：every通常不用于复数名词前，但若复数名词前有基数词或few来修饰，则也可连用。如：We go there every three days. 我们每三天去那一次。The river flooded them out every few years. 每隔几年他们就会因这条河的泛滥而被迫离开家园。4. stop n. 车站stop用作名词时，基

5、本含义为车站，此外它还有“停留;逗留”的含义。如：Let's meet at the bus stop. 咱们在汽车站见吧。He decided to stop over in Beijing. 他决定在北京稍作停留。拓展：stop作动词使用时，既可用作及物动词，又可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时，常接名词、代词、动名词。常用搭配有： stop to do sth. 停下来去做某事;stop doing sth. 停止做某事。如：The car stopped at the traffic lights. 汽车在交通信号灯前停了下来。I'm tired. Let's s

6、top to have a rest. 我累了，我们停下来休息一会吧。5. cross v. 横过;穿越cross用作动词时表示“横穿”，引申还可表示“反对;阻挠”。cross既可用作及物动词，也可用作不及物动词。用作及物动词时，常接名词或代词作宾语。如：The children must cross the road only with teachers or parents. 孩子们必须和老师或者父母一起过马路。He crossed me in everything. 他事事同我做对。拓展：crossing 十字路口;cross flow 交叉流动;Red Cross红十字会6. betw

7、een prep. 介于之间between指两者之间，其宾语可以是有具体数目的人或物，也可以是用and连接的两个具体的人或物。常用搭配between. and.如：I planted a lot of trees between two buildings. 我在两幢建筑物之间种了许多树。These books were written between 1736 and 1770. 这些书是在1736到1770年间创作的。7. afraid adj. 害怕;畏惧afraid用作形容词，意为“害怕（的）;畏惧;恐怕;担心的”，常用于be afraid of.和be afraid to do结构，

8、表示“担心（害怕）做”。如：Are you afraid of dogs？ 你害怕狗吗？There is nothing to be afraid of. 这没什么可害怕的。拓展：I am afraid.可翻译成“恐怕”，属于委婉语，表示遗憾、惋惜或表示不愿做某事而使語气显得缓和些。否定式为I am afraid not.8. leave v. 离开leave作“离开”讲时，其后常接地点、表示“离开某地”。如：When did you leave Beijing？ 你什么时候离开北京？She left school with no qualifications. 她没有获得任何学历证书就离开了
