Crossing the River to School过河上学【归纳】cross, across与crossingcross, 动词，意为“横过；越过（横穿）across, 介词或副词，意为“横过”crossing,名词，意为“十字路口”e.g. We cant play mobile phones when we cross (= go across) the

(for sb.) to do sth. （对某人来说）干某

There is a very big river between their school and the village.在他们学校和村庄之间有一条很大的河。【归纳】betweenand为固定短语，连接两个并列的成分。其中between作介词，用于两者之间，也可用于三者或三者以上的两两之间。e.g. There is a ball between his feet.4. You are very good at telling stories! 你非常擅长讲故事。4.T

10、here is no bridge and the river runs too quickly for boats. （河上）没有桥，而且河水流得太急，不宜于小船（摆渡）。【归纳】no此处作形容词来修饰名词，既可修饰可数名词，也可修饰不可数名词。修饰单数可数名词时，no相当于not a(an)。修饰可数名词复数或不可数名词时，no 相当于not any。5.But he is not afraid. 但是他不害怕。【归纳】afraid形容词，意为“还怕；畏惧”，常在句子做表语，不能做定语。其常用到如下：be afraid to do sth. 害怕 做某事be afraid of sth.

11、/ sb. 怕某事/某人be afraid of v -ing 怕 做某事e.g. I am afraid of tigers.6.Hes like a father to me.他对我像父亲一样。【归纳】like 在这里作介词，表“像；类似”。e.g. The dog looks like a wolf.也可作动词，表“喜欢；爱好”7.Can their dream come true? 他们的梦想会成为现实吗？【归纳】意为“希望、梦想实现；成为现实e.g. Finally, his dream comes true.【课后作业】完成Unit 3 How do you get to school?
