2、于状语从句的简化第一句相当于：Because he was tired of sleeping on the floor, a young man in Teheran saved up for years to buy a real bed.第二句相当于：After he glanced at the bits of wood and metal that lay around him, the man sadly picked up the mattress and carried it into his house.思维本质： 特别注意：“句子瘦身”有一个重要基本原则： 因此：状语从句“

3、瘦身”的三个要诀：1) 何时省略连词？After I had brushed my teeth, I went to bed. =Having brushed my teeth, I went to bed. After having brushed my teeth, I went to bed.2) 何时省略主语？* 前后主语一致的情况下，可以省略主语，避免重复，听众不会有误解。* 如果主语不一致呢？ 【听记 1】3) 谓语如何处理？* 实义动词(表达实际动作的动词)：主动用 ；被动用 比如： After he glanced at (主动) the bits of wood and me

4、tal . - Glancing at the the bits of wood and metal.Because he was tired（被动） of sleeping on the floor - Tired of sleeping* be 动词改成 being，但大多数情况下 【听记 2】比如: As he was very eager to win , he worked super hard.= Being very eager to win, he worked super hard.= Very eager to win, he worked super hard.所以，形容

5、词也可以作为状语，可以看做 * 完成时助动词： 【听记 3】比如：After I had brushed my teeth, I went to bed. Having brushed my teeth, I went to bed.不可以改成：Brushed my teeth, I went to bed.分词状语往往可以充当：1） 时间状语2） 原因状语3） 条件状语4） 让步状语5） 伴随状语6） 结果状语第一类：单独分词结构场景造句练习：场景 1：You got lost in a forest.Having walked in the forest for three hours,

10、y friends.【注：也可以理解原因状语：Since all the money had been spent, I had to .】独立分词中的特殊用法： with + 独立分词表示：1）2） I looked at the burger on the table, with my mouth watering.= I looked at the burger on the table and my mouth was watering.With the cost soaring , the company had to lay off workers.= Because the co

Irish Proverb Sleep is the best medicine.How can we have a good nights sleep

24、?Here are some useful tips from The National Sleep Foundation:1) Stick to a sleep schedule of the same bedtime and wake up time, even on the weekends.This helps to regulate your bodys clock and could help you fall asleep and stay asleep for the night.2) Practice a relaxing bedtime ritual(仪式).Such as

25、 drinking warm milk, taking a warm bath, meditation, listening to light music etc.A relaxing, routine activity right before bedtime helps separate your sleep time from activities that can cause excitement, stress or anxiety.3) Avoid alcohol, cigarettes, and heavy meals in the evening.4) If you have

26、trouble sleeping, avoid naps, especially in the afternoon.5) Exercise daily. Even light exercise is better than no activity.6) Design your sleep environment to establish the conditions you need for sleep. Your bedroom should be coolbetween 60 and 67 degrees.Your bedroom should also be free from any noise that can disturb your sleep. Finally, your bedroom should be free from any light.
