1、高级阅读教学大纲 一、 课程名称高级阅读I,II,III二、课程性质高级阅读课是英语专业蒙语授课高年级阶段教学的一门专业必修课,同时也是使学生大量接触英语读物和培养,持续提高阅读能力的一门实践课。通过大量阅读,使学生扩大词汇量,增加文化背景知识,掌握阅读技巧,提高阅读速度和理解能力,最终达到读懂中上等难度的读物以及与其难度相当的其它文章的水平,从而使学生在网络信息时代具有充分获得信息的能力。阅读课虽然是一门训练学生单项语言技能的实践课程,但它和旨在提高综合运用语言能力的高级英语课程相辅相成,也是其它单项语言技能课程在词汇、语法、理解和文化知识等方面的基础课程。三、 教学目的本课程力图使用真实的
2、、题材多样的语言材料,一方面帮助学生扩大知识面、开阔眼界、深入地接触英语国家文化,另一方面重点要放在加快阅读速度、加深理解、提高英语思维的能力方面;引导学生抓住重点、领会其风格,分析篇章结构布局;帮助提高学生对文体修辞及语言技巧达到欣赏和使用能力,进而增强表达思想的能力。教学目的在于着重提高阅读理解能力;培养学生细致观察语言,假设判断,分析归纳,推理验证等逻辑思维能力;培养学生的速读能力以及阅读兴趣;扩大学生的词汇;提高对文化背景的敏感度和表达思想的能力。换言之,本课程的目的在于培养学生的三种阅读能力:字面理解能力(Literal Comprehension)、阅读评价能力(Critical
3、Comprehension)、阅读欣赏能力(Affective Comprehension)。通过本课程的学习,要求学生:1能读懂英语国家出版的中等难度的文史类题材的文章,阅读速度为每分钟100一120个单词,了解中心大意,抓住主要论点或情节,熟悉文章的结构布局。能根据所阅读的材料进行推理,归纳和分析,领会作者的真实意图。2能在5分钟内快速阅读1000词左右的难度浅易的文章(生词不超过总词数的3),快速获取所需信息,并能根据阅读技巧推测和判断词义。理解准确率要求以70一80为合格,3要求能熟练地使用各种英汉词典和部分英英词典(如Collins Cobuild College English D
4、ictionary, Random House College Dictionary), 独立解决语言问题和部分知识方面的疑难问题。4要求在文化素养方面具较宽的知识面,对英语国家的地理历史、社会状况、文化传统,风俗习惯等有一定了解。5要求大量阅读难易程度相当的课外读物并写出读书报告,以进一步提高阅读技能和阅读质量, 四、课程教学原则与教学方法在本课程的教学过程中,教师应始终坚持以教师为主导,学生为主体的教学建构,注重培养学生的思维能力和实践能力,充分调动学生的积极性,训练阅读方法,培养阅读技巧,提高阅读速度。同时也要求教师注重激发学生的阅读兴趣,注意培养学生的综合素质,不过分追求字词的用法,让
5、学生在轻松的环境中掌握知识及阅读方法,使学习语言变成欣赏语言,欣赏作品,了解文化背景,让学生真正经历阅读的过程。教学过程中可遵循以下原则:1.阅读的兴趣性原则:学习者对阅读是否产生兴趣是阅读教学成败的关键教师不但应使学生学会阅读,而且乐于阅读,使阅读过程成为一个主动的吸取知识的过程。兴趣能使阅读过程良性循环。2.阅读训练的心理准备原则:教师应了解传授每项阅读技能的最佳时机,了解学生的感知、释义能力,在传授每项阅读技能前确保学生做好感知能力上的准备。3.阅读速度调节原则:正确处理阅读理解与阅读速度的关系;把握阅读速度的灵活可变性。 4.阅读教学的因材施教原则:阅读学习是一项终身活动,学生不可能在
6、短时间内全面掌握各种阅读技能。他们的词汇知识,理解能力,阅读速度,专业阅读技能以及阅读兴趣和习惯,都是在不断学习和实践过程中得以完善和提高的。学生学习阅读的进程,由于存在着个别差异而有所不同。教师应注意满足不同水平学生的特殊需要,使每个学生都能相应地发展阅读技能。5.阅读教学的总体设计原则:组织阅读教学应有一个符合实际情况的合理的总体设计。这种设计应从材料选择、任务的确定以及课后练习等诸方面做出全面而深入的考虑。 五、课程时间及学分本课程开设时间为第11,12,14学期,每周3学时,每学期51学时,3学分,共9学分。六、课程教学内容及学时分配本课程主要依据课本的内容来制订本课程的教学计划。原则
7、上是每5学时完成一个单元的内容,一学期要完成十个单元的内容。3个学期要完成2册书。在不同学期教材难易程度也逐渐由浅至深,故任课教师需根据教材中的阅读文章科学地安排教学内容。在一堂阅读课中,教师要有针对性地用阅读材料来提高学生阅读理解能力,同时要有步骤地训练学生对阅读技巧的掌握。此外课外阅读要鼓励学生去阅读英文简写本乃至英文原著。第十一学期 英语泛读教程 3(1-10单元)本学期的教学内容为教材中的前10个单元的基本内容和补充的课外阅读材料。每一课都基本分为以下四项基本内容:1. 教材中的每个单元的课文;2. 课后练习;3. 快速阅读和阅读技巧;4. 课后阅读材料教学安排及要求:泛读教材中前10
8、个单元, 每个单元5课时, 17周完成教学任务。在教学中,课文讲解、课后练习、快速阅读和阅读技巧主要在课上完成,课后阅读材料为课下的内容。课文讲解主要是帮助学生理解课文中的难点,对重要的词句进行详细的解释。课后练习主要是巩固对文理解,加深对课文中生词的印象。快速阅读时通过对三篇短文的阅读,掌握略读的基本方法。 阅读技巧是对学生的阅读方法的指导和总结,使学生能够更加有效地展开课上和课下的阅读。课后阅读材料要求学生在课后完成,进一步巩固本单元学习的基本词汇和基本阅读方法。Unit OneText and Exercise:Invented Words1. explain some difficul
