5、 it dropped to 14.2 billion pounds in 1995.At the same time,many countries call on people to give up smoking.So it is certain that the number of smokers is to decrease.About Tobacco ConsumptionFrom the above set of pictures,we can see that there were a total of 14.364 billion pounds of tobacco produ
6、ced in 1994 and 14.2 billion pounds in 1995.Because the amount of tobacco production is falling yearly,it can be predicted that the tendency of tobacco consumption would also be falling yearly.There are many reasons.Firstly,smoking wastes money.Every year there are two hundred billion dollars“burnt”
7、in the cigarette“fire.”Secondly,smoking would hardly do people any good and it can even cause cancer.Every year there are three million people“buried”in the cigarette“tomb”.Although tobacco consumption is falling,there are too many people who smoke.The population in the world is 5.8 billion,but abou

17、e of mobile-phone subscription,we see that developing countries are quickly catching up in science and technology,which is believed to be conducive to closing the gap between developing and developed countries.This bar chart indicates different market shares of automobiles of three types of brand af
18、filiations between 2008 and 2009.In 2008,cars with Japanese brands topped the three types of vehicles,accounting for 35%of the total market.What follows is the cars with Chinese brands,hitting 25%of the auto market,with the share of American brand bottomed out at 15%.In 2009,some developments are no
