When she sawthe poor boy fastened to the swan she felt so sorry for him that she stretchedout her hand to free him.

33、The bird screamed. &39;Swan, hold fast,&39; called out Peter, and the girl was caught also. When Peter had gone on for a bit with his captives, they met a chimneysweep, who laughed loudly over the extraordinary troop, and asked the girl whatshe was doing. &39;Oh, dearest John,&39; replied the girl,

34、&39;give me your hand and set me freefrom this cursed young man.&39; &39;Most certainly I will, if that&39;s all you want,&39; replied the sweep, andgave the girl his hand. 36、ing. &39;It&39;s no laughing matter,&39; the sweep replied. &39;This wench has got so tighthold of me that I feel as if I were glued to her. But no sooner had she perceived the motley crowd fastened to theswan&39;s tail than she burst into a loud fit of laughter, in which she was joinedby all her servants and ladies in waitin
