1、启迪心灵教学随笔 船营区搜登站镇第二中学 金晓峰 今天的晚自习和平时一样,我和同学们一起学习、交流、畅谈。最近,我们进行了区初三年级第一次模拟考试,在总结试卷时,一道阅读理解选词填空题,有这样一段文字Be Whole 人生在于追求完整,引起了同学们广泛的兴趣。Once a circle missed a wedge. the circle wanted to be whole, so it went around looking for its missing piece. but because it was incomplete and therefore could roll only
2、very slowly, it admired the flowers along the way. it chatted with worms. it enjoyed the sunshine. it found lots of different pieces, but none of them fit. so it left them all by the side of the road and kept on searching. Then one day the circle found a piece that fit perfectly. it was so happy. no
3、w it could be whole, with nothing missing. it incorporated the missing piece into itself and began to roll. now that it was a perfect circle, it could roll very fast, too fast to notice the flowers of talking to the worms.When it realized how different the world seemed when it rolled so quickly, it
4、stopped, left its found piece by the side of the road and rolled slowly away. 试题难度不大,但短文内容却让同学们思索、探讨、争论。我倾听着大家的想法和意见,由感性到理性进行了引导,由文字到心灵进行了点拨,启迪孩子的智慧,点燃孩子的激情,巧妙自然的进行了教育。一、 朗读语段,翻译解析我看到学生对篇文章如此感兴趣,就领着同学们大声朗读,努力做到声情并茂,又逐字逐句进行翻译,较生僻的单词就查词典,同学们都很高兴,快乐地争辩着,很快理清了内容:从前有一只圆圈缺了一块楔子。圆圈想保持完整,便四处寻找失去的那块楔子。由于它不完整
5、,所以只能滚动很慢。一路上,它对花儿露出羡慕之色。它与蠕虫谈天侃地。它还欣赏到了阳光之美。圆圈找到了许许多多不同的配件,但是没有一件能完美地与它相配。所以,它将它们统统弃置路旁,继续寻觅。终于有一天,它找到了一个完美的配件。圆圈是那样地高兴,现在它可以说是完美无缺了。它装好配件,然后滚动起来。既然它已成了一个完整的圆圈,所以滚动得非常快,快得以至于无暇观赏花儿,也无暇与蠕虫倾诉心声。圆圈快奔急骋,发现眼中的世界变得如此不同。于是,它不禁停了下来,将找到的那个配件留在路旁,又开始了慢慢地滚动。 二、 各抒己见,交流探讨一段清新隽永的文字,必然蕴含着深刻的哲理。我启发学生要敞开心扉,从生活、追求、
6、理想、情感等角度,畅所欲言,谈谈自己对这个语段的理解,言之成理即可,最好用英语表达。曹雪慧说:The lesson of the story, i suggested, was that in some strange sense we are more whole when we are missing something. the man who has everything is in some ways a poor man.
