It is impolite for us to speak loudly in public.区分It is adj. for sb. to do sth. 与 It is adj. of sb. to do sth.for 的意思是“对于,当要说明动词不定式的动作对于某人是怎么样的,用It is adj. for sb. to do sth. e.g. Its difficult for us to finish the work. 译:_如果形容词是kind, nice, right, wrong, good, clever, polite, careful,
11、 careless, foolish等描述行为者本身的性格,品质的形容词时,用It is adj. of sb. to do sth.1).Its very kind of you to help me. 你帮助我真是太好了。= You are kind to help me.2). Its very clever of you to do like that. 译:_3).你那样做很愚蠢。Its silly _ _ _ _ that.2. 作定语 动词不定式作定语要后置。当被修饰的词是它的逻辑宾语时,那么动词不定式必须是及物动词。如果不定式动词是不及物动词,就要用必要的介词,使其构成及物的短
12、语动词。 e.g. I have a lot of clothes to wash. 我有很多衣服要洗。此处逻辑上的动宾结构为wash clothes.He wants to find a chair to _ _. 他想找把椅子坐。 I need a piece of paper to _ _. 我需要一张纸来写字。此句中sit 为不及物动词,逻辑上的动宾结构为“坐在椅子上sit on a chair,动词不定式中的介词on不能省。 3. 作状语 1作目的状语 He ran so fast _ _ the first bus. 他跑这么快是为了赶上第一趟车。 2作结果状语 They were
