(3)部分形容词本身表示最高级，因此他们没有比较级和最高级形式：favourit

22、饰名词或代词，副词主要用来修饰动词、形容词和副词，有时修饰全句。形容词和副词在许多方面都有共同的特点，比如词形改变和在句中的运用等方面。形容词和副词是词汇大家庭里的好姐妹，把我们放在一起对比学习，可以事半功倍呢。一、形容词形容词修饰名词，说明人或事物的性质、特征或状态。1.形容词的种类性质形容词这一类形容词能够干脆表示事物的性质或特征，有级的改变，并且可以运用程度副词加以修饰。例如：good,large,light(轻的),beautiful等。大多数形容词都属于这一类。叙述形容词这一类形容词又叫作表语形容词(因为它们只能作表语)，没有级的改变，也不能用程度副词加以修饰。多数以a为开头的形容词

23、都属此类。例如：alone(单独的)，afraid(胆怯的)，asleep(睡着的)，alive(活着的)，awake(醒着的)，worth(值得的)，unable(不行能的)，ill(病的)。这些形容词只能作表语，不能作定语。Thesnakeisalive.(=Itsalivingsnake.)不能说：Itsanalivesnake.这条蛇还活着。Thechildisasleepoverthere.(=Theresasleepingchildoverthere.)(不能说：Theresanasleepchildoverthere.)这孩子在那边睡着了。Thegirlisafraid.(=Sh
