It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist treats diseases, in the widest sense, and so

22、me cosmetic problems of the skin, scalp （头皮）/ hair, and nails.There is one great advantage in dermatology, namely ,that of dealing with an organ that can be seen and felt.（2） Venereology is a branch of medicine that is concerned with the study and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. The spec

23、ialty is usually combined with dermatology. The venereal diseases include bacterial, viral, fungal （真菌的）,and parasitic infections. Some of the important diseases are HIV infection, syphilis （梅毒）, gonorrhea （淋病）, candidiasis （念珠菌病）,herpes simplex （单纯性疱疹）,human papillomavirus （人乳头瘤病毒）infection, and ge
