6、gal use is still banned In 2011,a number of pig farms in HeNan province used clenbuterol to raise pigs,and the pork flowed to shuanghui food co.,LTD.After the event by the relevant media exposure,caused widespread concern.Case1：Clenbuterol poisoning Background of the event：In 1956,a strange illness

7、struck many residents of minamata bay,Japan.This strange disease was the worlds first public disease caused by industrial waste water pollution,known as minamata disease.It is known as one of the worlds eight major public hazards.（1952 to 1972 discontinuity occurs）more than 50 people were killed，283

8、 people were seriously injured and disabled。Symptoms：The light person lisps inarticulate,the step staggers,the face dementias,the hand and foot palsy,the sense obstacle,the vision loss,tremor,the hand and foot distortion,the heavy person nervous disorder,or sound asleep,or excited,the body bow high

9、cry,until death.Case 2：Minamata disease in Japan Aetiological agent：Minamata town has a synthetic acetic acid plant,production of mercury chloride and mercury sulfate as a catalyst.mercury wastewater is discharged into the adjacent bay of minamata,where most of it is deposited in mud at the bottom,t

10、hrough the action of a bacterium that turns into a highly toxic substance-methylmercury,it can be released at a rate of 1%per year,secondary pollution to upper sea water.The fish,shrimp and shellfish that live here for a long time are the most susceptible to methyl mercury contamination,seafood in m

11、inamata bay has been found to contain more than 50 times the amount of mercury available for consumption。Residents have been eating this mercury-containing seafood for a long time,and become victims of methyl mercury.Case 2：Minamata disease in Japan March 1968,Japan Kitakyushu city,Aichi prefecture

12、area Polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBS)were used as the heat carrier in the deodorization process of rice bran oil production.Due to poor production management,the oil was mixed with rice bran oil and was poisoned after consumption，more than 1,400 people became ill,and more than 5,000 people became ill in July and August,among which 16 people died,and the actual victims were about 13,000.Case 2：Minamata disease in Japan Thank you for your participation！
