1、英语演讲与辩论课程教学大纲一、课程基本信息课程代码：课程名称：英语演讲与辩论英文名称：Public Speaking and Debating in English课程类别：专业必修课学时：32学时学分：2学分适用对象：英语、翻译、商务英语专业本科生考核方式：考查先修课程：综合英语二 课程简介本课程为英语专业必修课，翻译专业和商务英语专业选修课，在第五学期开设， 是培养英语、翻译、商务英语专业本科二年级学生演讲与辩论能力的重要课程。英语 演讲和辩论是训练学生英语表达能力、改善学生的思辨能力和提高学生对英语的实际 运用能力的有效手段。将英语演讲和辩论引入课堂，能有意识地把语言形式与社会语 境结合

2、起来，最大程度地减少母语文化因素的干扰，创造良好的环境，培养学生的批 判性思维能力和语言能力。在此基础上，培养学生有意识坚持中国立场、发挥中国智 慧、传播中国价值的理念、主张和方案，在英语演讲和辩论中领会提高中国国际话语 权的重要性。“Public Speaking and Debating in English is an optional course set in the fourth semester for second-year undergraduates majored in English, Translation, and Business English. It is a

3、n important course for the training of their ability to participate in public speaking and debating. By connecting the language closely with the social context, this course is helpful for the improvement of the students expression, critical thinking and application of English in daily circumstances.
