Could you please take out the
2、rubbish? Sure. / Sorry, I can t. I have to finish homework first.2. Could I use your computer?Sorry. Im going to work on it now.3. Well, could I watch TV?Yes, you can. But first you have to clean your room. 教学难点:Make polite requestsAsk for permission一 Which one would you like? 你喜欢哪一个?一 Neither.两个都不喜
3、欢。also, too, either, neither 的用法一、also是比拟正式的用语,语气较庄重。它通常放 在句中,位于行为动词之前,连系动词之后;如有助动词或情态 动词,一般放在助动词或情态动词之后。例如:Peter also has two brothers.彼得也有两个兄弟。I am also a student.我也是一名学生。Mrs. Green can also sing the song in Chinese. 格林 夫人也能用汉语唱这首歌。二、too是普通用词,多用于口语,语气较随便。一般 用在肯定句中,放在句末。例如:I m in Row 1, too.我也在第一排。
4、注意:also和too 一般都用于肯定句,很少用于否 定句。三、either表示“也”时,一般只用于否认句,且置于 句末。例如:I don t know him. Tom doesn t know him, either.我不认识他,汤姆也不认识他。If you don t go there, he won t go there, either.如果你不去那儿,他也不会去那儿。注意:either本身没有否认的意义。所以多与not连用。四、neither表示“两个都不”,它作主语时,谓语动词常用单数。例如:Neither of you can do it.你们两个都不能做这件事。Step 4 S

9、have to do my homework.在表示请求帮助或请求允许的疑问句中,常用could代替can, 以表示礼貌,委婉或不确定的语气,而can那么不具备这些语气。 这种情况下不能把could看作can的过去式。以上两句中用could 是为了表示礼貌的请求。表示请求帮助或请求允许时,除了 can, could之外,还可以用may,句子的表达方式也各有不同,可以 用不同的方式来表示同一个概念。例: Could/Can/May I use your car for a day? I wonder if I could use your car for a day?对于、句所作允答可以各种各样
10、,如同意可以说Yes或Sure 或 Certainly, 还可说 Yes, (do) please. 或 Of course, (you may/can). 或 Go ahead, please. 或 That s OK/all right; 如 果不同意,可以说 I m sorry you can t. 或 I m really sorry, but I have to use it today. 要防止说 No, you can t. 这 样显得很不礼貌。否认回答通常用委婉语气。3. ) Do you mind if I use your car for a day?对于句所作回答可以说N
11、ever mind. /Not at all.表“不介 意”。不能用 Yes. /Sure. /Of course. /Certainly.等。无论 肯定还是否认应答中,要防止使用could,要用can或may。因 为应答须用确定的语气。而could在表请求的问句中是为了表示 礼貌或委婉语气,用在应答中那么成了不确定语气,与情理不符。 所以应答中不说Yes, you could.或No, you couldn, t.而要 说 Yes, you can. 或 Sorry。 /No, you can t.一Could I please use your computer?一Sorry, I m g
