2、ith themes somewhat related to human nature.What ultimately distinguishes the work from other ones is that the author Margaret Mitchell chose to think out of the box, that is, built an ambivalent heroine instead of a purely faultle lady, which thereafter aroused a tidal wave of applause throughout t

3、he planet.There was a time when a wealth of celebrities unanimously spoke highly of it.Likewise, no sooner had I got exposed to Gone with the wind than I couldnt help falling in love with it.From the very beginning, I tended to show nothing but exasperation to the heroine Scarlett OHara.To be frank,

4、 she was “ no lady” as the hero Rhett Butler once sneered at her at a dance.Whereas with the progre of the story, I came to be fascinated by her shining points before I knew it.Thats where the masterpieces glamour really exists, I suppose. As someone has said,”The novel, on which Margaret spent abou

5、t 10 years , not only created a myth, but also showed her own personal charm to the world”.As a matter of fact, Scarlett is a reflection of Margret to some extent.Living in the midst of war, Margret, in poeion of attractive appearance, strong will, optimistic attitude as well as shrew mind, was neve

6、r willing to bow to fate.Cultivated in a war-suffered background, Margret made up her mind to adapt her life to a novel and integrate her spirit and intentions into the overwhelming masterpiece, leaving a feast for our eyes. Its beyond argument that Scarlett was a character of distinct personalitymo

7、re or le inherited from her father, at least neither so dignified nor benevolent as her friend Melanie Hamilton was.To pursue her happine, she had ever did whatever she can to confe her love to Ashley.To retain Tara, she had ever spared no effort to gather money even was ready to abandon her dignity

8、 and morality.All things considered, Scarlett can be shrewd, selfish, greedy even ruthle, yet she was capable, optimistic and staunch.Under no circumstances will she yield to miserable fate as long as she can still breathe.Just as she said in the end”After all, tomorrow is another day.” In truth, th

9、e same goes for everybody since life is bound to be equipped with both hardship and happine.It works well if one could see the positive side of the obstacle just as Scarlett did.As a consequence, Gone with the Wind serves as a soul pillar for people in trouble, or rather, everybody including me.
