2、re very important for the whole world,in my opinion. But I dont know whether GREetings are enough for us.Especially when we meet with failures .I remember quite clearly that when I was a child,if I fall down and was on the brink of crying,my father always told mePlease stand up from where you fall d

3、own! Yes,we must stand up from where we fall down. That was a special mid night in 1993.Expectations filled our hearts.We stared at the TV,hoping excitedly as the voice would fly to our ears.But at last,each Chinese who loves our motherland was distreed to know the result:Beijing ,lost to Sydeny by

4、a margin of two votes in the Olympic hosting competition. Eight years have past,but the frustration has not healed with time at all.Now,at the begining of the new millennium,all of the pride and disappointment of the 20th century had gone with the wind.The 21st century,which is full of hope,longing

5、znd thought has come.Someone said,we would start from zero on.Should I really start from zero on? No!I hold that we should go on with our efferts and ambitions stayed by last century,and make our life better. New Beijing,GREat Olympics! The voice cries this out around Chinas captital,a 3,000 -year-o

6、ld city these days. Beijing,along with Paris,Istanbul,Osake and Toronto,has been shortlisted by the International Olympic Committee as an official candidate city for the 2023 Olympic Games. This is Beijings second attempt to host the games. Everyone fully supports Beijings bid for it. Maybe,we can p

7、aint fences along the main roads of Beijing. Maybe,we can make much of yhe city cleaned up. Maybe,we can learn and speak basic English idioms and expreions for daily communication. But,but are they just enough? Facing the new century,mankind is driven by the revolution of science and technoiogy,worl

8、d economy is undergoing broud and profound changes.But nobody can deny the fact that compared with developed nations,developing countries are confronted with more preure and challenges.In order to become famous in the world,we must speed up our international economic restructuring to catch up with i

9、ndustrialized nations. Supporting Beijings bid is a systematic project that can support Chinasdevelopment efforts. I believe recycled paper,clean fuel,sorted rubbish,water-saving and enery-efficient facilities will become reality in the coming years for China.I believe the new century is an era of l

10、earning ans teaching,and lifelong education has become one of the main trends in the future developmet of Chinese society. I believe that,on July 13,our dream of Beijings Olympic bid will become true.Because to millions of Chinese,for China to have the gloal respect and support that she deserves is

11、not just a dream. It is a part of our very souls.For we are not only equal members of our motherland, China,but we are also equal contributors to the world as a whole.Let us stand together,all nations in Beijing,in brotherhood,friendship and peace, in 2023 and forever! As you slowly open your eyes,

12、look around , notice where the light comes into your room; listen carefully, see if there are new sounds you can recognize; feel with your body and spirit, and see if you can sense the freshne in the air. Yes, yes, yes, its a new day, its a different day, and its a bright day! And most importantly,

13、it is a new beginning for your life, a beginning where you are going to make new desicisions, take new actions, make new friends, and take your life to a totally unprecedented level! In your minds eye, you can see clearly the things you want to have, the paces you intend to go, the relationships you

14、 desire to develop, and the positions you aspire to reach. You can hear your laughters of joy and happine on the day when everything happens as you dream. You can see the smiles on the people around you when the magic moment strikes. You can feel your face is getting red, your heart is beating fast,

15、 and your blood is rushing all over your body, to every single corner of your being! You know all this is real as long as you are confident,paionate and committed! And you are confident, you are paionate, you are committed! You will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial expreions, usi

16、ng your body in new ways,approaching new people, and asking new questions. You will live every single day of your life with absolute paion, and you will show your paion through the words you speak and the actions you take. You will focus all your time and effort on the most important goals of your l

17、ife.You will never succumb to challenges of hardships. You will never waver in your pursuit of excellence.After all,you are the best, and you deserve the best! As your coach and friend, I can aure you the door to all the best things in the world will open to you, but the key to that door is in your

18、hand.You must do your part, you must faithfully follow the plans you make and take the actions you plan, you must never quit, you must never fear.I know you must do it, you can do it, you will do it, and you will succeed!
