2、点:单词:postcard, thousand, million等, 句型:Tell me more How long/big is?教学难点:用本课所学的基本句型How long/big is?等描述某个地方或某事物的情况。教学过程教学反馈Step I: Warm up1) Greetings.2) Sing a song: Row a boat. 3) Free talk: Describe their summer holiday. Step II: Presentation1) Show the Task: 描述某一地点,如北京,上海,宁夏等。2) Students learn new
3、 words with teachers help.3)(课件出示)Play CD-ROM, then ask students answer: “What are they (Simon and Daming)doing?”. (让学生有的放矢地重点听预习时觉得有困难的地方,总体感知课文内容)4) Play CD-ROM again, ask students to listen carefully then try to answer the questions: Where are Daming and Simon? What are they doing?Are these postc

(给学生足够的时间思考,鼓励学生尽量不看书根据听到的内容来回答,但如果有困难需要可以先阅读看着课文再回答问题,为程度较弱的孩子降低难度。)5) Play CD-ROM again ,Then let students describe text use the answer. (课件出示南宁市地图和旅游景点时,引导学生自己描述一句,待所有的图全部出示完,让学生在小组里自由发挥用4-6个句子来描述。这个环节由比较知名(南湖公园、青秀山公园、动物园等)的地点的描述过渡到对自己的家乡的描述,循序渐进的增加难度,这样层层递进的教学让学生学无障碍,学得积极。)Step VI: SummaryStep VII: Homework:1)

Step II:Presentation 老师出示Simon的图片,向学生提问:“Who is he?” “Where is he from?引导回答:“Simons from New York, America.” 老师把单词写在黑板上,领读,然后提问:“Where is New Yo
11、rk?”老师出示美国地图并向学生提问:“This is a map of America. Can you find New York?” 引导学生在地图上找到纽约的位置。可以向学生说明:“纽约是美国的一个重要城市。大家已经在地图上找到了它的位置,可是你们知道用英语应该怎样表达吗?今天我们就来学习这些内容。”Step III: Text Learning在地图上标注东(east)、南(south)、西(west)、北(north),帮助学生复习这些单词并注意纠正他们的发音。老师领读单词。学生们能够读准后,做一个游戏巩固新单词:根据老师的口令做动作例如:Please turn to the no
12、rth.Please turn to the south.Please turn to the east.Please turn to the west.老师随意发出口令,学生要尽快执行口令。老师可以不断加快发出口令的速度,以加大活动难度。老师放录音,请学生边听边看SB Unit2活动1的地图。把录音中提到的几处美国城市名称和周边国家名称写在黑板上帮助学生理解。再放录音,每句话后停顿,请学生跟读。学生用书第二单元活动1录音原文。带领学生学习表达地理位置的方法。老师用彩色笔或其他方式在地图上标出纽约的位置,并通过问展现“Where is New York? Its in the east of
13、America.”用同样的方式讲述“What about San Francisco? Its in the West of America.”学生们掌握本语言点后,老师教授第二种位置表达法。老师说:“Where is Canada? Its north of America. Where is Mexico? Its south of America.”引导学生发现这种表达法与第一种表达法的不同。肯定他们的尝试,并帮助学生总结:“因为加拿大和墨西哥在美国领土以外,而纽约和旧金山是美国的一部分在美国境内,所以两种表达法有所不同。”Step IV:Activities 1.使用地图与拼图相结合的
14、方法。先出示世界地图,让学生快速记忆。然后取下地图,运用世界地图拼图的一部分。一边拼,一边教授方向及位置的表达方法。然后让学生描述并拼完剩下的部分。如:S: Canada is in the north of America.T: Thank you .please put the puzzle in the map.拼图完成后还可在全班进行师生问答。如:T: Where is Canada?Ss: It is in the north of America.2. 全班一起完成AB Unit 2练习1。先请学生仔细看图,然后老师故录音,请学生们认真听,把方框中提供的单词填写在正确的答题框中。完
15、成后全班一起核对答案。3.请学生把书翻到SB Unit 2活动4。请学生边听边看,熟悉韵诗的大致内容。然后向学生讲解他们不理解的内容,如单词“Tennessee”等。再放录音,请学生看着书小声地跟读。可以请男生和女生分组读也可以请单个学生读。掌握chant之后,可以全班起完成AB Unit2练习3。再听录音,根据录音判断练习中的陈述是否正确。4.两个学生一组,各自说出自己心中想的一个城市,如果两人说的城市不一样,即可让学生说出这两个城市的相对应的位置。如:S1:Guizhou is in the south of China. It is in the east of Xingjiang.S2
16、: Xingjiang is in the west of China.
