7、则应放在被修饰词的后面作后置定语，也相当于一个定语从句。如：the man visiting Japanthe man who is visiting Japan 访日的那个人三、动词-ing 形式作宾语补足语动词-ing 形式作宾语补足语，常放在宾语后面，表示正在进行的主动动作。常接动词-ing 形式作宾语补足语的有：感官动词 see,watch,notice,hear,feel 等；使役动词 have,keep,get,leave 等。如：I saw him going upstairs.我看见他正在上楼。He kept us waiting for a day long.他让我们等了一整

8、天。注意：动词不定式(不带 to)也可用作宾语补足语，但做感官动词的宾语补足语时强调动作从开始到结束的全过程(动词-ing 形式则通常表示动作正在进行)，动词不定式作使役动词的宾语补足语时表示“让某人做某事”(动词-ing 形式则强调“让某人持续做某事”)。如：I saw him go upstairs.我看到他上了楼。The lady had the maid send the letter.夫人让女仆去寄信。一、用所给单词的适当形式填空1I heard someone _(knock)at the door.2Im sorry to have kept you _(wait)for me
