Grammar直接引语与间接引语Direct Speech and Indirect Speech(Reported Speech)1、定义直接引述别人的话,叫“直接引语”。用
8、自己的话转述别人的话,叫“间接引语”。直接引语一般前后要加引号,间接引语不用引号。John said,“I like reading very much.(直接引语)John said that he liked reading very much.(间接引语)2、直接引语变间接引语及其注意事项(1)直接引语是陈述句,变成间接引语,由连词that引导。She said,“ I am very happy to help you.”She said that she was very happy to help you.(2)直接引语是一般、选择或反问疑问句,变成间接引语,由连词whether或
9、if引导。He asked me,“Do you come from China?nHe asked me if/whether I came from China.注意:大多数情况下,if与whether可以互换。但句中若出现 or not,或放在介词后作连接词,只用whether。She asked whether he could do it or not.They cried out whether he was all right.(3)直接引语是特殊疑问句,变成间接引语,由相应的疑问词 who , what, whom, whose, how, when, why, where 等
10、弓I导。My sister asked me, aWhat is your friend?My sister asked me what my friend was.(4)直接引语是祈使句,变成间接引语,把动词原形变成动词不定式,并在动词不定前加ask, tell, orderoThe solider ordered,“Be quiet.”The solider ordered us to be quiet.注意:否定句,在动词不定式前加not.My teacher asked me,Don t laugh.”My teacher asked me not to laugh.(5)一些注意事项
11、a.直接引语变间接引语时,指示代词、时间、地点状语等作相应的变化,规则如下:thisthatthesethosenowthentodaythat daytomorrowthe nextdayyesterday-theday beforelast yeartheyearbefore agobeforeheretherecomegob.直接引语变成间接引语时,时态要作相应的变化,规则如下:一般现在时一一般过去时一般将来时一过去将来时现在进行时一过去进行时一般过去时1过去完成时现在完成时一过去完成时如: He said,“Jim is doing his homework. n He said th

19、e +不可数名词或者是可数名词复数,用于肯定句或者是提供服务的疑问句中。Eg: Would you like some coffee?There are some bananas.*any +不可数名词或者是可数名词复数,用于疑问句或者是否定句。Eg: Is there any food? There isn t any food.Are there any cherries? There aren t any cherries.* no +不可数名词或可数名词复数,用于肯定句,表示否定的意思。Eg: There is no tea.= There isn, t any tea.There a
20、re no oranges = There aren t any oranges.(二)much/ many/ a lot of/ lots of/(a) few/(a) little* much +不可数名词Eg: We don t have much money.* many +复数可数名词Eg: There are many animals in the zoo.* a lot of / lots of +不可数名词或可数名词复数。Eg: You should eat a lot of apples.I drink a lot of coffee.* (a) little +不可数名词E
