3、 teach him a lesson!III. 强调句型：强调除谓语以外的句子成分1.强调句的基本句型是“It is/was_被强调的部分_ that/who其他部分”。被强调的部分可以是主语、宾语和状语等。2.强调句的一般疑问句形式：Is / was it 被强调部分 that句子的其余部分Was it in 1939 that the Second World War broke out? 第二次世界大战是在1939年爆发的吗？Was it you that/who let out the secret to her? 是你把这个秘密泄露给她的吗？ Was it not until he

4、 finished his homework that he went to bed?3.强调句的特殊疑问句形式：特殊疑问词 is / was it that 句子的其余部分What is it that you want me to do？ 你要我干什么？Who was it that broke the window？ 打破窗户的是谁？When was it that you called me yesterday? 你昨天给我打电话是什么时候？When was it that he made up his mind to take this course? 他什么时候决定选修这一课程的？

5、Why is it that he doesnt like the book? 他为什么不喜欢这本书？4.对not.until时间状语从句进行强调时，It is/ was +not until结构that+其他部分 e.g. He didnt go to bed until/ till his wife came back.-It was not until his wife came back that he went to bed.注意：1.强调“notuntil”引导的时间状语要用“it is/was not untilthat” 结构,that后面的句子要用肯定式，且须用陈述句语序。2

6、.强调句型中只用until，不用till。但如果不是强调句型，till, until可通用；3.强调该结构时not 与until不能分开。强调句型的使用特点主要有以下几个方面：(1)被强调的是人时，引导词可用who，也可用that。It is the PLA men who/that are safeguarding our country day and night. 是解放军战士日夜保卫着我们的祖国。(2)被强调的不管是单数还是复数名词，主句的be动词都用单数is或was。过去的某种时态， 用it wasthat；现在或将来的某种时态，用it isthat It was Madame Cu

9、rn that he works. 他工作的地方是他出生的那个城市。(6)强调句型与It is/was时间when从句：在上述句型中it指时间，when引导的是时间状语从句。注意两种句型“时间”表达方式的不同。It was at midnight that I got back home yesterday. 昨天晚上我半夜才回到家。It was midnight when I got here yesterday. 昨天当我到达这儿时，已是半夜了。It was two years ago that I joined the army.It is two years since I joine
